No he didn't! Haha

Products look pretty solid but it is also in the coilover price territory as well. Any dealers in Los Angeles area?

There are still no specs! It's a site and gives something to look at but still lacks more info...what are the pounds/inch ratings for different lift springs and what lift ranges are there in inches not mm?
25.4 mm = 1 inch

@jtwopark
If you haven't yet check this link I posted earlier......

There are some specs posted (i.e spring rates etc) although it's not totally complete.

I know the rates listed are probably lighter than what you think you need. That may still be the case, but IMO I think your goals can be achieved successfully with higher end shocks with proper tuning even with a spring rate that is lower than what you think you might need.

just my two cents.

I hate thinking and I like to be served on a silver platter!

I would like to know what the lbs/in specs are....I don't need to know 661lbs to 1100lbs type of specs....kinda useless

from the linked page......:flipoff2:
"Dual Rate front springs are 160lbs per inch and 240lbs per inch"

now go back and read through the other stuff I linked (cause I know you haven't) and you'll probably find what you need. :) I can't do all the work for you.

Well it looks like I just lost the Amazon TYC/Koyo lottery :(. I guess I'll just give it a try and hope for the best.

Careful BoxRocket, next he will want them installed, too, when he tries to work on more than 2 or 3" lift at 440lb or 900lb or 1200lb constant load, or cant get those fender to rim measurements sorted ;)

I read the post about chrome remover for spray on LX tint but how does one remove damaged film without hurting the defroster wire on the Glass? My ladder scratched mine bad last weekend.

@Box Rocket .... @jtwopark is not going to go through 40 pages to get specs & he should not need to. I have reread & gleaned as much as I could & have most of it but still missing a few. I posted it here 80 series suspension Tech Thread
I have also given jtwopark all the specs that I have.
@Box Rocket I have some discrepancies with some of the info that you have written. I would like to get with on the side to get it correct if I'm wrong.

Go to Napa and get a Sankei cap to go with it (long story), then quit your crying. ;)

Mine rarely sees over 195° with a TYC and there's a few other rigs out here running them as well.

Good to hear, I have a new Toyota cap at least :). I've heard of a few of them failing within a year, so that's my main concern. It doesn't look like a cheap knockoff to me lol

A couple of notes:

The neck is slightly deeper, so the factory caps aren't sealing on the radiators. My buddy caught it first, I had the issue last weekend, etc.--we found that the Sankei (which apparently was an OEM supplier to Toyota for rad caps on the 60, according to what I saw somewhere on here, so pretty good quality) is taller and seals with some proper spring tension. All the rigs running the rad's have started off with brand new factory caps.

It was nothing alarming (in hindsight, I stressed myself out way more than I should have about it, despite my friend's pleas not to), because the trucks all run nice and cool, they just aren't making pressure like they should.

All this in Phoenix, AZ where it's much hotter than Iowa, so you should be fine.

Other thing to look at is the transmission barbs coming out of the cooler at the bottom of the rad, specifically the one on the driver's side. We've found they need to be clocked down slightly to prevent rubbing the line on the shroud, causing it to cut open, in my case on the trail and repairs had to be done next to a bush with a big rattle snake (no joke, about 5 feet long), which caused some extra stress for myself and my friends that day.

The repair wasn't the end of the world. But would have been unnecessary if I had paid attention while putting the rad in.

Aside from those, the rad has been great. Good cooling and the price is pretty dang good.

Thanks for the heads up ;). I'll definitely pay more attention to those issues. I don't want any rattle snake problems down the road, or EVER lol

@Box Rocket I have some discrepancies with some of the info that you have written. I would like to get with on the side to get it correct if I'm wrong.
The 40 pages of info isn't an ideal way to find the information quickly, but that's where it is currently which is why I linked all those threads. I am like the rest of you, just piecing it all together from various sources at this point and going off of what I have on my own truck.
However, I'm working with Justin to get more details that I can share to make it easier for prospective buyers to get the info they need. I'm still not the "expert" but I'll help where I can. One thing I do know is that there are some specs (with the shocks specifically) that Darren and Justin are not likely to divulge. Because they are custom spec shocks that differ from "off the shelf" Icons and other shock options out there, they aren't going to give up all their secrets. I totally believe that there is some black magic involved in suspension building/tuning and at least from my experience so far Darren is a Grand Master of black magic. :)

Anyway, let me know what discrepancies you have and we'll see if we can get accurate info pulled together.
