Just a little maintenance on the Green Chile this weekend. Replaced the charcoal canister (as so many have done with the GM version) and changed the differential oil in prep for Black Bear Pass in a couple of weekends.

Spent all weekend cleaning out the garage, but it was worth it now that I can work out of the sun and rain. I also immediately got to use my re-found work space to change the oil and replace the failing starter on the cruiser.

Finally made it to Ouray from Utah. Did Imogene, Engineers, Ophir, Cinnamon passes, the entire Alpine Loop, camped in the rain. Had a great time. Gotta go back when it's dry for Black Bear, Poughkeepsi, etc...

Thanks to @beno for the front wiring harness so I can be officially 3X locked.

More importantly, THANK YOU to @beno for his unmatched knowledge. Incredible the wealth of knowledge he has. Excellent service.

And a cool koozie thingy and sticker! WOOHOO!

This will get added to the "when I have free time in order to be able to breathe and work on my 80s again" list.

Have done black bear in the rain. Wouldn't recommend.

Not that it was incredibly difficult.. but it REALLY cuts down on the views going downhill into telluride.

Got a 33x10.5r15 mud terrain on the stock spare, in the stock location. Looks friggin huge! Might get one of those kits that tuck it up more.

Finally got lift kit on with Fox Shocks and OME 851 Fronts and 860 Rears. Almost 3 inches in lift. Rear is around 3/4 inch taller then the front so spacers will have to be added eventually. Do not think it is all to noticeable/bother me to much (however only been on for a few hours) so not a huge priority.

Rides much better and looks much better. No castor correction yet or steering stabilizer installed but does not drive all to bad so far (only took it up to around 50). 33s quickly went from looking big to pretty small....

Big thanks to @Nay for helping with the install.

Love my Fox's, but take my advice and get the rock spray guards for the rears. They are not expensive. I hadn't even hit the trail yet and found a small nick in one of the rear shafts. Had to modify my guards to fit, wasn't a big deal. Just had to cut a little bit of plastic off the bottom to clear our large lower mounting bolt and washer.

This past weekend I met up with forum member @IanB, he sure is a wicked dude with a wicked truck!

I found myself on the wrong side as we tested his truck after some pump mods, this felt a little weird to me!

Both trucks in the parking lot before we ate some amazing Thai Food.

Was this the turbo truck? How did the turbo do at altitude? That should be where it shines. You need a stock truck up there to compare it to. lol.

Took the wife and doggers up to look at some railroad history. Crazy to think they had a hotel up there at the turn of the century with people mucking about in 15 feet of snow for half the year.

Got my drawer project done finally, went with a slightly lower over all height since I have a 31 inch dog when hes sitting, and a attic rack. So I only raised the deck height 6 1/2 inches so the dog can be some what comfortable sitting... Kinda looks like a bass boat deck in there lol... Needs a couple of screws here and there, and need to paint the inside of the drawers and lockers.... and set up a latching system for drawers to keep the shut.

Time for new tyres. Got about 55k miles out of the previous duratracs so we'll see how the a/t-k02's do. They are amazingly quiet/smooth versus the well worn duratracs.

None needed because we dont have rust problems out here in Cali!....just theft problems...idiots with sticky hands and sawzalls....a few weeks ago an "A" hole sawed off my cats from my 93.....whom ever that took it, I hope the idiot gets blasted by the cops!
