What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Installed 200 series rack on my 80 with Gamiviti @nakman 30,60 mounts. Its very low profile and much narrower than the baskets designed for the the 80. It limits that amount of side overhang to worry about on the trail. Also got the ARB shovel and Hi Lift mount from @Southeast Overland. I used one of the rear nutzert holes that spun out to run power for the LED's and ground using the the speaker bracket in the upper headliner. Very happy with the turnout.

Finally got lift kit on with Fox Shocks and OME 851 Fronts and 860 Rears. Almost 3 inches in lift. Rear is around 3/4 inch taller then the front so spacers will have to be added eventually. Do not think it is all to noticeable/bother me to much (however only been on for a few hours) so not a huge priority.

Rides much better and looks much better. No castor correction yet or steering stabilizer installed but does not drive all to bad so far (only took it up to around 50). 33s quickly went from looking big to pretty small....

Big thanks to @Nay for helping with the install.

Looking good and riding nice! Glad to be able to help, although no help for 80's always making tires look smaller. Easiest cure is 1" wheel spacers to set them out a bit...

Had a front hub bearing loosen up last month and warp a rotor in the process. So this is more like what I will be doing with the 80 this weekend.

My current DBA rotors are on their 3rd set of pads and 90K miles. Why mess with a good thing?

have you used EBC yellows before? I couldn't believe the amount of dust they made on my older jetta, and how quickly it corroded the wheels when not cleaned quickly..

Yup many times. Yes dust but I don't care. I live on a dirt road. My junk is always dirty. No corrosion issues? Mainly I just want max stopping power.

When you get notifications that @sbman is on his lunch break or taking a dump...hopefully lunch.

Words oddly never uttered about TG before :hmm:
I'll give it up to their repurpose of the spindle nut. Not their design but they were smart enough to make for the 80s.

Hey I like TG! Although I know on this site buying anything Chinese here is seen as an act of treason.
