Finally drove it.

Stitching photos together in Photoshop caused the lower right part of my truck to disappear, weird!

Went for our annual farewell camp in Mikumi National Park, where we spent some time under a massive baobab tree and driving a road that vanished under a 15-km-long flash flood during this past rainy season. That meant a couple of hours driving through roof-high grass looking for a trail to connect to the rest of the road. Good fun.

This what we encountered just a couple of km into the drive.

This is the middle of where the road was in March 2016. Now it's just a dry sandy riverbed.

Whichever size 1/2" socket (22? 24?), universal joint, and about a foot and a half of extensions deals with HP banjo bolt nicely, IMO.

I actually used the same setup to torque the piss out of the pressure valve fitting that the banjo bolt screws into with the pump on the engine. When I went to remove the original pump it loosened from the pump housing before the banjo bolt loosened from it.. effectively locking the pump to the HP line. Had a hell of a time dealing with that and wanted to avoid a repeat.

I actually meant get the threads started on the banjo bolt. Tightening and loosening it is easy with some tools. Getting it started down under the alternator with the hose pulling isn't. I used a big open end wrench to get the old one loose, the same thing happened with the pressure fitting coming loose off the pump.

Took the girls up to RMNP. Crowds were thick. We were able to get close to a 150+ herd of elk in Moraine Park, special moment for my daughter.

Drove down to Wintergreen Ski Resort, did a mountain bike race, drove home, found out my winch is not working properly, then I finally removed the third row seats ... it feels liberating ...

Found out last night that my headlight adjustment bubble levels no longer function. Had to adjust on the wall, my lights were pointed sky high after trying uselessly to get the bubbles to level

Wow have I got some work done:

Fixed passenger seat forward/backward movement issue: Replaced gear and cap; complete with set screw to prevent future problems.

Fixed driver seat forward/backward movement issues: Replaced gear and cap; complete with set screw to prevent future problems. However while driving the set screw I created a future problem as the head of the screw broke leaving the thread end in accessible. Ah well cap wont move, mission accomplished until I have to do it all over again; hopefully years from now. Oh also installed the LandTank seat extension brackets. This will allow me to install the Wits-End Extinguisher mount and storage area later today.

While I had the drivers seat out: Performed the 7 pin wire mod. While I was back there, also did the window jumper mod so that I can roll down windows and open sunroof without key in.

Installed a ScanGauge on the overhead console using Wits-End Snads for easy on-off as needed.

I think it's about time for a build thread...

Fit should be right on. This company has molded a 1000+ 80 series RHD/LHD sets over the years.

Once I get moved I will place another order and ask here if anyone is interesed. I'll stock 60 series carpet and vinyl, maybe one or two spare 80 vinyl sets. Takes about 4-6 weeks from order to door.

Made some home made extended rear sway bar brackets for $16 and some square tubing for my rear bump stops....

Among other things, I finally got my rusty 4x4Labs rear bumper blasted and sealed with polyeurothane primer, coated with Rustoluem spray on truck bed liner and mounted on the White Rihino (roll over replacement).

Water and sugar in a cup. I put the rag in there just so they didn't drown. Put faraway from your site to attract them away.
