oh man! business opportunity lol. They're close, but the OD is just off enough that I had to fine tune the opening on my snow wheels.

I'll swap em out and keep em for spares I guess.

Replied.

Good to go on the struts....down to 1 last set...I think. Everyone who ordered and paid should have their parts Wed-Friday!

Some days it's fun to walk out to the mailbox. This was one of those days. :)

A top quality product .... it's nice to have 'MUD members who are willing to do the R & D on products like this.

I even included an extra pop rivet just in case....don't want anyone to think I can't count properly. Ha.
I'm accustomed to having extra hardware left over when I finish a product. I thought that was normal. :)

I thought so...:rimshot:

I bet it would be easier to take a drill with you on the airplane.....

My kit came in today. Look forward to installing it.

My apologies for not putting any instructions in with these kits....we will refine them as we go. This first batch is to get some feedback from.

The wide nose stuff can only fit one way but the narrow nose stuff is a little different. Here is where I mounted my parts on my 73.....

The ball stud goes where that upper bolt is on the cowl, direct replacement.

The plate is 1.75" from the front edge of the hinge to the rear edge of the new plate. Pretty basic. I believe my guy made the shape to fit perfect in that area...too high and it hangs over, too low and there is too much exposed hood area. None of this is mega critical....it will work if you're off a tad.

Just because I couldn't figure it out doesn't mean those with an ounce of mechanical talent can't figure it out. :)

Hahahahaha....I had so much going on at the shop today that I didn't even stop to think about why I was sending the close up pics. Ha. I'm sure you're in good hands up there...
