Dave, I hope that works out better for you than it did for me. I used VHT Epoxy on my sliders and was very thorough in prep, and didn't use primer as per instructions. The paint did not hold up to road debris peppering them, and now I have to strip and repaint. What brand paint did you use?
Using Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy. I've used it on a lot of projects and I've not had any real issues. I guess we will see how it goes. Thanks for the heads-up, Joe.

Del, both pins sheared on impact; they were fine beforehand. Another nice surprise, the cowl looks to be in very good shape!

Joe,
I also have to order or find some used screws that hold the frame up.Those are bent pretty bad. It was a pain in the butt to unscrew them. Luckily they weren’t stripped and I was able to unscrew them with a few love taps with a hammer on the big plastic handles on the inside.

While I’m at it I am going to take the dash out and replace it with the dash from the white one which is in way better shape.

New radiator in the old Tercel in preps for the Relic Run. Gotta have the ol girl I tip top shape if she’s gonna make it up Daniel ya know ;) I think the old one has seen better days. Looking at it out I can’t believe it was still cooling. Incredibly easy swap, probably took less than 20 minutes. Why can’t all things be that easy to work on?

I did a little tire stealing today. The 35s off the 40 are gonna be on the 80 until my replacement 285 comes in for the one I sliced last week. And plus Relic Run is here and the 40 is broken, so might as well take some of it along!

@jfz80 it has been pouring here for a couple hours and it is moving in your direction.

Yup..... its Go/Hold time here. Looks like ill be waiting till am now. Thanks.

Ok now that all my must-do items for CRR are done, I’ve moved on to the nice the haves.

The last must-do item was to install a working alternator to give the sixty juice and to ensure my horn passes inspection. Nice working unit given to me via @Ian Crawford . No pic needed. Nice to not have to roll around with an extra battery in the backseat.

Brining my kid to CRR and since she doesn’t have the luxury of a steering wheel to grab with whit knuckles or an oh sheet handle, I figured at least I can put an armrest on the tuffy... went to jo-Anne’s got some high density foam and vinyl and then too a trip to the seemstress for some sewing. End result is two inches of goodness (insert favorite joke here). Should make the ride more comfy

Finally a todo on my bucket list was to remove the Mickey Mouse ears from my roof rack since I don’t like the glare off the hood anyway. I personally like the look without the Kc hi-lighters, kinda cleans up the look.

After shot- don’t mind the assault bike in the way

Picked my 80 up from the shop that did my head swap. Engine bay is going to need a good detailing. All the dust was wire wheeling a lot of clay off the exhaust manifolds. After my 30 mile drive home, highest temp i saw was 192, and most importantly, radiator and overflow were both full, and no dreaded green splatter stripes down the passenger side, and no puddle of green underneath. Thanks to @fj40z for the ride in the awd tercel rally car up to the shop. Engine purrs like a kitten now.

Full on manic mode now.... off to the alignment shop (I replaced my tie rods , and then to get my new rubber mounted up.

I finally got around to some new shoes on the sequoia. I found some decent meat attached to these 4 runner rims for 500$. Cost me another 165$ for lignite. But looks good and rides an inch higher

CRR prep proved successful, now time to do 4x the work in two weeks. Funny how timing works out, lol.

Two weeks is not the best timeframe term to use in this club...remember?

Yeah, i got a set of 265 75 16, or thereabouts. I put less than 600miles on them after i got them from tgadd.

Heck, gimme 100, and ill give you a set of 4runner sport wheels to mount them on
