Congrats GAA!! A running engine video is in order. I'll be happy to host it if you don't have a scroogle account.

GAA she's a beauty! What wonderful way to start your day, every day...with "The Other Woman"!

Looks absolutely gorgeous, Rick!! Hope it's running as well as it looks!!
Runs like a Peach!....Georgia Peach that is. I'll try and get a video of it running before too long.

Will run better with more stickers...

I would be careful with the liberal application of "Stickers". Reeks havoc on your "caster angle"...

Looking very nice indeed.......!!

Rick, what hose are you using from the air-pump to the top of the air cleaner? That's a tough one to match (because it's NLA from Toyota). Skip

It looks like the air cleaner port is capped, Skip.

Rick, it looks like your 40 is de-smogged - true?

Really looking great!

Skip - Thanks for the kind words. The hose you are referencing, is no longer in my engine bay. It is in my de-smog box of goodies on the top shelf.

Danny - yep, de-smogged about a year ago.

Gorgeous engine bay! Your build is quite an inspiration to me. Your "one piece at a time" approach to bettering a rig that was already in pretty good shape is great fun to watch.

Man that valve cover sure is pretty!

GAA's 1977 FJ40 w/ an '86 2F engine running. Posting for GAA.

Purring like the proverbial tractor!! Sounds great!!

The new 2F just makes me realize just how noisy the original 2F was. One major improvement I've noticed is the tightness of the engine & tranny. I was told the rear engine mounts were toast and the fronts were severely squished. The torque on the engine doesn't move the shifter now. I can shift into 4th at 30MPH and it will power on up to speed.

Me so Happy!

Thanks Mike for posting the video.

My pleasure Rick!
Still trying to fix couple of issues with the thumbnail image, I may have to upload again.
