I had the pleasure of seeing and driving this 40. Absolute joy to drive. Tight with no rattles and attention to detail is second to none. Top notch work my friend.

No rattles? How do you remove the rattles? Been chasing one on the passenger side forever.I had the pleasure of seeing and driving this 40. Absolute joy to drive. Tight with no rattles and attention to detail is second to none. Top notch work my friend.![]()
FWIW - I had a rattle in the passenger rear for the longest time and could never figure out what it was. I tightened, wedged, wiggled, and tried many things inside the rear area including adjusting the amby doors numerous times........Last year, as I was under my rig installing the new rear wire harness, I bumped the rear brake line and it wiggled & rattled inside the frame bracket. I thought to myself, surly that can't be the noise I've been chasing for more than a few years......Yep! Every time I hit a smallish bump, the rear brake line was rattling inside that frame bracket where the hard line meets the soft line. I was missing the 96991-10080 clip that secures the soft line connection to the bracket. Purchased a few and installed one at that location....I'm happy to report, the mystery rattle was solved. No rattles? How do you remove the rattles? Been chasing one on the passenger side forever.

I will say, I've greatly reduced the number of rattles by gradually chasing them. Though the single biggest improvement is simply removing the top!No rattles? How do you remove the rattles? Been chasing one on the passenger side forever.
Still cant get over how wide your wheels are - looks incredible.Over the hills and through the woods.....to Buc-ee's we will go.

....Wife says, "Let's go to Buc-ee's and take the 40." Being someone who's always up for an adventure, off we go. It was a great trip from Canton, trough Waleska, Beasley Gap, Rydal, Funkhouser, Fairmount, Sonoraville, to the Adairsville Buc-ee's, and back.

OEM, but Custom cut with a 3.5" spacer welded back into the rims. Its probably in this thread somewhere, what are those wheels?
if you ever find a wide mouth quart of oil like the one toyota sells at the dealership, you can cut the bottom out and the top will screw into the valve cover. Yours fits the cleanliness of your build though![]()
