Good point here, I know each of the parts don’t move much, but collectively there is probably moved more than I realize, if that makes sense, I recently noticed the top of the right front shock rubbed the fender, I’ve done some flexing on a few trips but didn’t realize there was that much travel.Good idea looks sharp. I've put the other ones on my 60 and haven't had good luck. On the steering box side one of the holes has already torn out. Its a bummer.
My issue with the rubber OEM fender splash is the speeds, it’s so much stress on those when I’m doing 75mph. The other thing is if you look up fender washers all of the modern stuff has sharp edges which eats through. I wish they had miniature cup washers, where no hard edge.
My next experiment if the hard sheet doesn’t hold is structured silicone 1/16”. Found some of Amazon. This stuff won’t rip
