About done. Need to do the cut out for the shifter/Tcase. Cleaned the back seats. Once they dry I’ll finish the carpet up the back seat.

Looking good Jimmy. Nice work my friend.

Getting closer. Ordered some SEM cordovan brown and adhesion promoter. Will see if I can dress up some of this trim work. Soaked and scrubbed all the seatbelts. The PO demoed this truck so I was missing a drivers shoulder belt. Went to my tote and found a couple options. Also figured out I have a real hoarding problem. Have not opened that tote in several years. It’s amazing how nasty seatbelts can get. But some soaking in dawn and scrubbing with a nylon brush will do amazing things. Both the rear retractable belts had all kinds of s*** sucked up in the reel.

A bit more documentation on the interior. First of all, I’ve put this carpet kit in a few 60’s now and hind site it’s not worth what I’d say the level of this build (or my personal 60) is. It’s very low quality and I’ll most likely go to somewhere that makes a heavier loop etc. for the next 60 I do. I’m cheaper than cheap so not complaining as you get what you pay for. And it’s a good product for the right type of refresh. The rear tailgate piece was way to big which would look like crap if I wrapped it tight. So I shimmed it by glueing some 1/4” foam to the board which relived me of a bit of the bad fitment. Some people leave the old carpet on and just cover over it. I did not have that option. Also mounted the rear window trim. Cut out the shifter and t-case holes. I pull the metal mounting plates for each boot and trace the ID of the opening. May have to do some final trimming when I permanently mount the boots. Pulling the trans on this truck so that will be at a later date. Oh…and ordered some of those bump stops for the rear seat back from @CruiserTrash which are genius. Have them on my personal 60 and man do they work :). Have some rear inner quarter panels coming from Spenser with @orikawa
Pimping him as he’s a really good dude and makes what I think is a really good product. Plus I don’t have any factory brown ones that are worth a darn.

@CenTXFJ60 Saw the order come through today, thanks for that! I was out of stock so I got a batch of the urethane bumpers poured this evening and they’re curing as we speak. Thanks for all the info and photos in this thread. I’m certainly going to be referencing it in the next couple years as I dig into my blue 60 - I plan on doing much of the same stuff.

Photo of the operations tonight. Sorry it looks like a mess, this stuff cures in about 5 minutes so I have to work quickly.

PS - you didn’t order a sticker but I’ll send ya one anyway 😉
Pick a color, any color! They’re all 60 colors so you can’t go wrong.

That is awesome ma man. Very cool seeing how these are made. And Blue is my favorite 60 color so I’ll go with that one. Actually don’t dislike any 60 color but going with my favorite one :). Thank you. Jimmy

Tonight’s update. Spent some time cleaning up the door panels. Treated/scrubbed the material part with oxi-clean last weekend when I did the rear seats. Today I scrubbed the vinyl with simple green. Was impressed with how it came out. Here’s a before and after of one of the panels. Also installed new oem felts. Waiting on new clips from Partsouq.

Very nice! Did you punch all the holes on something like an Amada turret punch machine? Love the detail!

Gave her a bath since it’s going on the lift for a while. Gonna pull the axles and trans and address some things down below.

Axles & trans are out. Power washed the axles as well. This truck had not been on the road for years prior to my buying it. So don’t have any knowledge of issues etc. figuring them out as I go. Some obvious things are the rear pinion flange seal. T-case leaks as well. Not really any surprises though.

That same trailer brake harness is what failed and was causing my blinker issue. Looks like yours is as well wired as mine was...

So the frame with all that surface rust and grime was bothering me. Scraped most the gunk (rear diff and rear output areas) and then power washed the frame while on the lift. And man that’s a messy job in the shop. Then today I applied a few coats of POR15 where needed (about 70% of the frame)

So I took a break the last week to tear down a motor that belongs to a friend. That was fun, but lost track of where I was on this truck. Thought I drained the oil pan As I did the trans, T-case and diffs several weeks ago. Could tell the cork gasket was old so I put the bottle jack with a 2x4 between the frame and pan. Drove a scraper 2/3rds the way around and for some unknown reason I put the tower jack stand under the pan. Thank goodness I did (have never done that before) as the pan was full of oil :). How I did not spill a drop I don’t know. Better lucky than good is what I always say. Also documenting the install of the aluminum cargo panels I got from @orikawa they are sweet and a great replacement for the delaminated panels that came with the truck. And like the HBI harness I got so much from @CruiserTrash that I put his sticker on the diesel :).
