Not sure on the weight yet, but I suspect I'll be able to load/unload it myself. The stove weighs nothing and I don't have a ton of other utensils. We'll see when I get it filled

What throttle cable are people using now? I've had a new issue crop up in the past couple of days with the throttle cable sticking. I've had the following Lokar kit since the conversion was done. The cable broke once and was replaced and now the sheath seems to be wearing through.

Do you run a hand throttle to wheel with the manual? My 40 is a manual and I remember from Uhwharrie this march at the ONSC meet that Moonshine was a 60 and that pretty much everyone else in the club was running automatic 80s to wheel. I'm not planning on just driving my 40 around, I plan to wheel it hard and it's intended to be a trail rig, unlike most 40s.

In all seriousness, I had a hand throttle at one point but found I didn't ever use it. The pedals are close enough (and my foot is large enough) that I can actuate both the brake and throttle with my right foot. When I need more granularity with either the brake or the throttle, I hold the truck in place with the clutch then move my right foot where it needs to go.
Hard to explain, but it makes sense when you're wheeling it. Deep gearing helps a TON too. Right now I'm around 85:1 and would love to have lower.

Moonshine blew out another steering box right before a ~1500mi road trip a few weeks ago. Used that as an excuse to buy a 105 sector shaft, reseal and pitman arm from @Akella , then also bought a PSC reservoir kit to install "while I'm in there". Going to port the 80 box as well:

Haven't done a thing to Moonshine in a while, been distracting working on my Ford tow rig (affectionately called Project Mayhem) for the last 5 weeks. 6.0 needed a full bulletproof operation with o-ringed heads, ARP studs, upgraded injectors, Banks intake and a LOT of "while I'm in there". Other than this power steering work, moonshine won't be getting anything for a long time.

The fords lookin good, and I do the brake throttle with the same foot too. And would you happen to know the gearing on my 40? I know it's stock but that's it.

Yup. Used @S4Cruiser 's 2-post lift to pick the body off.
Which transmission do you have? 4.11 diff gears, ~2.2:1 transfer case

I have 4.11 axle gears and the three speed manual on the floor. All I know about the t case is it has 4lo, 4hi, 2hi and neutr.

What's the cost difference with you porting the 80 series box vs sending ur old box to West Texas Offroad and getting one from them? I've considering hydro boost for my scout box, but it's not really needed at the moment!

Your transmission looks to have 2.757:1 first gear, transfer case 2.12:1, so you have a 24:1 final drive ratio.

Seal kit is ~$30, fittings and caps are ~$45 (probably less) so $75 vs whatever west texas charges.
