Thanks for the honorable mention and for giving us the opportunity to be a small part of this build.

That new transmission puts a smile on my face. I had a harmonic occur where the old shifter would rattle at times, then there was the obvious synchro issue. This thing is rock-solid.

Thanks for all your support.

A friend bought a 40 on BAT and got sold a bill of goods. I felt they didn’t support him as they should have. I would only use them as a last resort.
I’ve bought a couple hundred thousand dollars of construction, trucks, and farm equipment on online auctions, sight unseen. It can be very good, and it can be bad. Mostly very good for me so far.

As far as BAT goes, if you get a legit seller/broker/agent, and then some backing and good comments from others on there, along with your build threads and good reputation you seem to have here, you could do well when the markets good, assuming your agent leverages all that, along with good pictures and a ‘needs nothing’ presentation.

I’m a fan, but I understand why many aren’t.

I did manage to get one ding while in SW Colorado. I had worked hard to protect the front and back of the truck but did nothing about the rockers. I ended up scraping one of my running boards on The Wall at Poughkeepsie Gulch. While I was attacking the punch list, I started toying with rocker panel protection. I wanted a solution that was strong enough to jack on or strap too and wanted something that followed the body lines as close as possible.

I knew it would be difficult to come up with the proper angles to hug the body lines, then make the correct rotations on the bender (x2). I opted for a two-piece main tube with a slug and plug welds.
