All done. No leaks yet!!
Tried something similar mounting my PSC remote reservoir on the fender using the same remote fill pump reservoir can you’re using. The vibration from the 4BT cracked the welded fitting on the side of the can after just a few miles (like 10,000) PSC recommended mounting the remote reservoir to the engine block to prevent the “tugging” on the return hose to prevent fatiguing the fitting where it’s welded to the thin sheet metal housing.
This wasn’t an option for me so I made a doubler plate to go around the welded fitting (basically a glorified square flat washer) that welded to the fitting and spread the load out further on the can. This has held up well so far..
I felt like it had plenty of slack and the line was reasonably flexible, this ultimately could have made things worse by allowing the line to have some bounce when the engine was idling, at any rate the can is extremely thin and cracked right at the weld on the fitting. In my opinion a doubler to spread the stress out around that fitting when used on a 4BT is worth the time it takes to do itHow taught was your reservoir line?

Would love a pic to solidify the fix in my mind, having trouble visualizing your fix for some reason.
Threads I used to reseal and port the 80 series box (for future reference):
Porting the 80 series power steering box
Power Steering Gearbox Reseal
Steering gear box rebuild
Hydro Assist:box and pump mods
HA ok that sounded like a reasonable request but after six photos of my thumb and 9 photos that just look like a black blurry blob this is the best I got.
The plate is made from 14 gauge sheet metal with a hole just large enough to fit over the hex of the fitting bent to match the radius of the can, I welded all the way around the fitting then just put a small ¼” weld in each corner that I circled in red.
Hope this helps.

How did you modify the cap on the resivor on the PSC setup? Looks like you put in some type of quick connect 90? I tried a bunch of different P/S pumps and things...I too went with a PSC remote P/S setup...well made a works!
would have been a lot easier to do before the reservoir got installed.
Sorry I wasn’t more clear, mine started leaking on a trail run that required lots of JB weld to get me home and I was trying to save you from the same trail fix, I bought another new can and applied this plate to spread the stress over a larger area and that seems to have solved my problems.
Good luck![]()
I had about 1/3 tank fuel and was doing a big climb when the truck died
1. Winch died. In the process of seeking out an 8274 to replace the garbage Engo I went through last year and is now dead.
I had the exact same issue and now have the Walbro pickups, they don’t like the extreme cold with summer blend fuel so I keep a jug of PS winterizer/antigel under my seat now.

I’ll save you the trouble of digging through every page of nonsense in my build thread, on page 43 I added the pickups and by page 45 I had to make a new top and change the sending unit.
Target carrier
Will have to pull my fuel tank and get to fixin'!!!
Assuming you know but just wanted to add if for some reason you missed it.
You only need one MP13 with the bleed hole in your system.
All the rest of the pickups will be the WP12. (No bleed hole)
