Sorry Tapage it doesn't really give you a good idea of the sound but it sounds really good, kind of a rumble. It isn't all that loud, at idle you can't hear it at all in the cab.

Idle and a little revs

Pulling onto the hwy, about 70% throttle

I will be putting it back on the dyno when I can track down a Landtank MAF Housing so I can get back to back results for anyone that might want to buy one.

First video I have seen that was a good representation of the EMS exhaust. Thanks! Sounds great!

Is that oil pressure reading normal for an 1fz at idle? (First vid)

You know I am not sure if it's a normal reading mine has always shown a little low on the gauge but comes right up as you come off of idle to 1000rpms.

Might be a good question for the more experienced 80's guys.

mine has always gone really low once the motor is up to operating temps and i come to a stop. Before the rebuild and after i am often at one needle above the bottom hash mark.

Well back to the dyno today! Had great results with EMS Powered's exhaust. Single cat and muffler with no silencer. Had gains everywhere with the biggest difference being 13hp and 16ft/lbs. so like 8-10%

Disregard the large spike at the end it was the truck shifting before JMS locked it to a single gear.

Ryan, nice gains...having a new head had to help bit...its sounds sweet

Yeah the head refresh might have helped a little, really it is pretty much the same gains Baktash saw on his stock 80. He saw a little more gains down low, but we couldn't get the truck to hold the gear down that low on my truck without shifting down so really it was about a 2800-5000rpm pull. I think freeing up the exhaust if you don't mind a little more sound will help the 80's, it is definitely noticeable and a plus having a nice full stainless system.

Now baktash just needs to follow through and actually sell what he offers! I'm still waiting on a quote for a y-pipe and one of his stand-off 02 sensor weld on bungs..... been two months.

Sorry about that. I do my best to keep up with everyone, sometimes forum PM's get forgotten about :) PM/email me your phone number, I'll ring you up and we can take care of it today.

Thanks, I am sure you know a build is never over until you sell the truck though. Lol. I still have an auto locker sitting on the bench to install, I still need to get an inside the cargo area passenger side tire carrier made, I would like to build a drawer system for the back as well. I got your PM and will be replying shortly. Thanks

Installed an auto locker. Yes I know they get a bad rep. They are noisy they do have some odd street manners, but no leaking air lines or stuck electric actuators kind of another "keep it simple" mod.

Since the third and axle shafts had to come out to install the locker I figured this was a good time to do a rear axle overhaul with new bearings, seals and gaskets.

Inner Bearing 90368-49084-77 X 2
Outer Bearing 9008036067 X 2
Oil Seal 90311-62002 X 2
Oil Seal 90310-35001 X 2
Hub Gasket 43422-60040 X 2
Diff Gasket 42181-60060 X 1

Since good. I had a auto locker in my 88 Toy truck and it was great. Did take some time to figure it out how to drive it on the road. But after that no big deal. Keep up the good work.
