Is that a stock Piggy radiator?Ordered this fan/shroud from Jegs September 9th... after tons of phone calls and dirty emails I finally got my fan yesterday, woke up this morning and installed, had to do a little trimming. Keeps the pig a lot cooler! View attachment 2468368View attachment 2468369
Yes sir.Is that a stock Piggy radiator?
Between the Arkansas and Talladega camping plus my commute to work and what not, I’ve put over 2,500 miles on this rig and not a hiccup once!
1, how is the transmission vented and have you confirmed no restrictions?I had the transmission rebuilt before install then bolted the AA parts to it. Does this sound like I just need a front TC seal?
It has a spacer between the trans and transfer that it appears to seal up against?? AA doesn’t have a image on there website showing the actual parts I have. What does the output seal of the trans seal against? Is there a sleeve or anything in there between the adapter and trans?
The transmission has a vent tube on top that is free and clear. It also had a new rear seal installed when it was rebuilt. As for the TC it wasn’t leaking and seemed to be in good order so I bolted her up without changing and seals.1, how is the transmission vented and have you confirmed no restrictions?
2, if the transmission is vented properly and not “pushing” oil past a seal then the input seal on your transfer case would be to only logical seal to take a look at. A double lip seal would be the ideal seal for keeping the two oils separate.
The rear seal would be in the tail housing that is removed to bolt the AA adaptor in place, unless your AA adaptor has a seal your transfer case seal is it for seals between the two.It also had a new rear seal
You are correct about the sea being in the tail housing. The spacer between the trans and TC has a rubber ring to keep from leaking where they meet up. So I’m assuming the only thing keeping ATF out of the TC is the seal. I’m gonna give @cruiseroutfit a callThe rear seal would be in the tail housing that is removed to bolt the AA adaptor in place, unless your AA adaptor has a seal your transfer case seal is it for seals between the two.
Yes, A single lip seal is designed to prevent oil from escaping in one direction only, a double lip seal would be a better choice for this application IMHO.So I’m assuming the only thing keeping ATF out of the TC is the seal.
