What breed are your lovely pooches? Anatolian Shepherds? Pyrenees mixes?
We always have Anatolians, but this pair ( brother and sister ) I'm not so sure. Both parents looked like traditional Anatolians, but that female does look more like a Pyrenees. It doesn't matter to me as long as they like to work and they do.

They are beautiful dogs. Sure look like Anatolians, but the "latte" color made me wonder about Pyrenees.

We've had Pyrenees and Maremma dogs... guards for our hogs and goats. We don't have livestock any longer, so now, our Pyrenees - "Rosalita" - lives up in our barnyard. She's an old girl, and she worked every dang day of her life. We're trying to give her a peaceful and comfortable retirement.

Yeah, it's tough when they get old and still want to be out in the fields with the animals, but can't keep up.
Absolutely. Our old girl's hips are tired out. She still gets around fine, but getting up and down (from a laying position) takes her a minute. When she was younger, I used to take her for rides. The best dang truck buddy ever... but the last time I took her for a ride, to get groomed, I blew my back out lifting her up in to the truck... lol.

Tried and tried to talk him out of it.
At least he sat on the idea for the better part of the year before getting it done…

Here’s one… my son was 18 and still home going to Monmouth U and fell asleep on his bed one afternoon. Wearing a short sleeved shirt and sleeping with his arm under his head his sleeve rolls up. Around the bicep he has some swirled band about 1” wide. My wife walked by his room and saw that tattoo. She freaks out “ what is this!!” She Calls me and is yelling ..”did you know about this?” “What the hell is wrong with you?”

Needless to say I knew nothing…today…27 years later my son is covered…full sleeves, legs, feet, back. I have to consider what his thought process is but in my 30’s I had many rider friends who were fully covered with tats and wonder if that was an influence. Me? I went to Catholic school in the 1950’ and 60’s and those nuns were very influential..VERY! I don’t even have a pierced ear

Doing pretty well...

Some of the Bump It Offroad crew made a run down to @Cruisers and Co this week.

We are paving the way for a 1FZ > H55F bellhousing.

It has been a @Fe3 - TriMeki goal for quite some time.

That's @gonzopancho Pig body hovering over an 80 frame w/ 1FZ. It's nice to have a spare 1FZ block "floating around" that we could scan:

I’ve always been intrigued with Route 66 but even more so as I age a bit. Bristow, where we live sits on Route 66. We have an old train depot from 1923 that has been restored. The last water tower for Frisco railroad sits next to it. This houses our local historical society. Also where Gene Autry worked for local radio before becoming famous.

Back in boomtown days, many of our older buildings housed workers and the wife and I have kicked around idea of converting one for nightly rentals to those traveling Route 66.

Just viewed building built in 1921. Upstairs needs total gutting but all the doors with transoms above still exist. Old sinks still present and we found receipts from TV, radio repair shop from late 60’s.

Has nice retail spot under with separate door for upstairs which is a must. Diner two doors down where @Pigeaten and I had breakfast.

If someone was driving Route 66 and had chance to stay night on Route 66 outside of a typical hotel, is this something you all would consider.

I’m planning on long haul, Main Street not going anywhere. Our small town close enough to Tulsa that it’s not gonna die on the vine like many others. If anything it’s only going to grow in time.

Clyde parked in front.
