The blue wire you are holding with the condensor in line is a noise filter for the radio. It bolts up on a coil mounting bolt. It's a ground.

Hard to see in the pic, but the little plug above the starter is it the oil pressure gauge sending unit possibly?

The thin black wire off the alternator starter on mine had a spade connector and was left unplugged.

Hope that helps.

The drivers side floor pan was worse than i thought. I ended up having to fabricate a new frame mount as well. While i was doing this my daughter was painting the gas tank and a few other pieces. Then she decided to shot bow. She is learn and getting better.

That's the thing about '40s...they're always full of surprises :D
You do great work! She will be a proud young lady with way more experience than most boys her age!

My daughter is almost 17 now, and has been riding in our '78 since she was 1 year old...she knows very well what an FJ40 is and how it is so much more (and better) than a Jeep of any flavor!

Having a wonderful build with your daughter is the bomb...very wise move

Just read through the build. Great work!!

Pm details on the Bronco to me. I have a mate in Australia who is looking for a clean '69.
