Just went back through this thread. Fantastic work on the body and frame. Would you share the details on the paint that was used? Single stage or base clear, brand, etc? Hoping to face these same decisions sometime in this decade......

Looks like you decided not to paint the floors or firewall white? Is that some type of liner material that I'm looking at? Again, details please.....

I'm taking it one step at a time. There is a guy on ebay that has the rubber for the tailgate window etc... I have the original stuff too and it isn't in terrible shape.

The paint is base clear PPG, we had to color match it off the original lacquer paint codes which was tough to say the least.

The floor and firewall we are just going to do some white bed liner type stuff under the mats.

Yes everything has been rust coated/primered in the cavities etc...

The wheel bearing races are a mother to replace lol

WOOOOW o_O

So I am an idiot (no surprise there). The stupid washers that go behind the wheel bearings between the axle tube and the wheel bearing. I forgot to put them back in and now the axle is totally assembled. I really don't understand what their purpose is anyways, is it going to kill anything if I just leave them out?

Can you educate me to what kind of scissor lift that is?
