I went to college for the Toyota T-Ten program. I've owned every toyota there is, my first car when I was 14 was a 72 Fj40 and then my baby 89 FJ-62 got me all through college etc...

FJ55 was the only one I never owned, I've also never done a classic car restoration. Knock 2 birds out with one hand grenade.

Rear axle totally done, moving on to the front. My neighbor is reassembling the body gotta find all the random gaskets and seals for door handles turn signals glass channels etc...

Why does my warn hub not look like any others lol. The chassis manual I have doesn't show warn hubs it shows the non-free wheel hub design. How the F does this nut lock washer come off?

The Warns were dealer add-ons.
40s came to the US w/ drive flanges installed, so the front drive train spun all the time.
Pigs w/ coarse spline birfs (like pictured above) had old-school ASCO lockouts with a small knob. '76 - '79 Pigs got the long, fine birfs w/ the beautiful long-body ASCO lockouts.

Yeah I've seen the small ASCO hubs on another 40 I had, never seen warns of this exact design. I can tell they're SAE bolts though so I figured it was an american thing.
