No, you just slap it down and done. Attached are some pics of the rear axle after being put in the sand blaster. Very therapeutic.

Like the sheen on the frame... not shiny, looks like it's all business.

2 questions, does anyone have a rebuild manual for the factory PTO winch or is that info in one of the regular manuals. And the pinion seal cover / guard the metal one that protects the pinion seal sits right behind the yoke. Do they sell new ones anywhere? One of mine is bent from running over something. Or anyone got a good used one?

Does anyone other than SOR make a limited slip differential for the front axle on a 72 pig?

In my opinion, I wouldn't want a limited slip in front. I have a selectable air locker in front, but would like to put a Harrop electric locker in there. In my travels we haven't gotten into many situations where I needed a front locker, until this weekend. I was pushing buttons and yanking levers like a madman and still went down. 🤷‍♂️ Sorry for a unwanted opinion, all I got.

I have ARB in my H1 front and rear and I agree I rarely use the front I just hate to put this back together with an open diff but maybe I will.

It is nice to have traction w/o having to push buttons and yank levers. The :princess: 470 has LSD in the rear and I got spoiled until I drove a 100 w/ e-locker up a trail I had just driven the 470 - time to turn that dial!
