So Galen, Ryan, Kevin and Mauricio stopped by today. Some awesome cruisers here today. So the water test failed . Figured it out pretty quick though. When I took my doors and hinges off for paint I did not caulk the hinges during install. So with the help of Galen and Ryan we tackled that job. Tomorrow’s test should be much better. And to clarify, the water barely leaked but it surely was coming in. @Spallet @CaptClose @bottombracket @kmj64

Did you ever do the second water test on the door hinges???? What were the results ????? What's the part number of the body sealer your using ?

Did you ever do the second water test on the door hinges???? What were the results ????? What's the part number of the body sealer your using ?

Hey Jason, the truck did pass the hose test. Bone dry now. If you’ve not removed any door hinges then the seam on the cowl should be all that’s needed. And I have not figured out the part #. But any Paint supply house will have seam sealer. Mine is the beige color. I’m guessing mine is a 3M cause that’s what my supplier primarily carries. Also, my truck spent most of its life in Phoenix. I’m guessing the climate has a lot to do with drying out the manufactures caulk job. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks. Jim

Pretty certain that's 3m stuff, I recognize the tube. Used to use it a ton on restoration work in my previous pre-powder coating life. Can't remember the part # but should be easy to find. I know the "heavy drip check sealer" from them is like a bluish green color and the regular is that light tan. I will get some for Chunk, good idea going over that stuff.

So i picked up the old school turbo tach and had a guy in NC restore it. Came out really nice. So nice I’ll need to send my speedo in . You can see the later 61 tach that I was using.

Cool, that looks great. Are you putting the "diff lock" indicator light in too?

I'd be interested in your old tach if you are selling it. Gotta find one somewhere.
