No matter what any of us armchair quarterbacks say, your truck - no matter which way the letters face - is one of the greatest 60 builds I've ever seen and driven and is inspiration for my own diesel 60 build later this year. If I can get mine half as nice I'll be more than happy.

I like the setup as is with that exact tire/wheel color, looks really good, even gloss would be nice. I could also really enjoy dark gray, Such as the toyota industrial enamel that’s used to touch up forklifts.

What tires/size are on the wheels you test fit?
Those are 31’s on there now. Will swan over the 33 BFG’s I’m currently running.

Galen, those are very kind words sir and do appreciate it. I have to admit there are many many more 60 builds out there in front of mine that have set the pace. So one thing I thought about seeing

your post is the stripe kit you gave me. It has the silver/gray/blue colors in it so in the end the wheels should be a grayish tone. I won’t get to putting those on until next year. Need to fill in the vents on the front fenders and way too many other projects on the table.

Dark grey Jimmy. Just a subtle difference and eye catching. My customer chose dark on his Wheel Vintiques.
Letters are your preference but white out is cool in my book.

I agree. Want to powdercoat them and may not have time before August. If not will definitely do it when I add the stripes Gales gave me. Fo some reason the pic did not show up on my last response

Adding graphics (F’n Rad!) ? Then Dark grey wheels. The color @mattressking recomended might be inexpensive to get due to the industrial touch up side. I think that will tie the whole look together.

@CenTXFJ60 if you run the ARB / sliders / rear bumper are you going to do Grey on those or stick with black.

The only way to run the tires is white letters out. I support your 80’s habits and so does your cruiser.

Side note: @dogfishlake Pat you mentioned powder-coating door handles to color match. I took mine in and my powdercoater said they were cast metal and wouldn’t hold/take the color well. Is that a thing?

David, going black (semi) on the bumpers and sliders. Sliders are already powder laced by Dave at 4+. Gonna match have bumpers as close as I can with single stage paint. Agree on white out and wheel color. May bite the bucket and drop them off at a powder coat place nearby.

Those graphics will be sweet Jimmy! I always prefer white letters out even on my 100 series. As far as wheel color I personally like the gray. The whole murdered out thing is too played out and modern in my opinion. I almost put some of those on my 60 a couple months ago when Tucker upgraded to city racer's 16s but ended up selling them because I'm holding out for those 70 series 16's in gray like @4Cruisers has on his rig.

How hard is it to mount that center console? I don't think you have the rear heater to deal with on yours. Is it just a simple as drilling holes and installing bolts?

I really would like some usable cup holders and storage that locks.

Not too bad Mark. My heater is under the passenger seat so no issues there. The later 60 has a bit different floor bracket vs the earlier 60 (my sons which is where it came from) so I had to modify the bracket a bit.
