A little startup video that Classic Cruisers posted to their Instagram. The engine is noisy because there is only about 8" of downpipe coming out of the exhaust manifold.
I can tell you from personal experience that if you gift that to your wife, make sure that the fuse is already blown: she WILL find a way to use it on you!😱
Thanx! It's got plenty of slack. When I was putting the drum on it was a very tight fit. I'm pretty sure I had the shoes squeezed together as tight as they'd go. Not sure if it's because of new shoes or that the drum is not clean enough. I...
I actually have the OEM belt on there now and the top hose. I'll post a picture of that later as it's raining again here. Here's a before and after pic of the parking brake.
Here's a little update on the 69 FST. Since my last posting I've ordered more parts and was able to get some of them installed. I got the new rebuilt carb from Mark as well as the new fan blade and spacer. I relocated the oil filter and made...
So.... I can see that I'll be terrible at updating my progress. Yes, work is busy, and we just trudged through the holidays. But I have been getting some things done.
Purchased:
Dakota Digital gauges
Stand a lone LS harness for manual...
I'd be 100% in on that! I'm always around 80% sure about what I want to do, and I'd really benefit from someone else standing next to me with another perspective to bounce things off.
To anyone watching that hasn't seen Mightymes projects, check...

Nice. I had read threads about people having trouble finding the 9mm, so I never bothered to look. I'm not sure of the front axle, but it has brand new Wilwood calipers. So I'll just get the soft lines and use an adapter to fit them.
9mm can be found: Tube Nut 9mm x 1.0 3/16 SAE Fitting - Classic Tube - https://classictube.com/product/tube-nut-9mm-x-1-0-3-16-sae-fitting/
Is your front axle also a 69?
Thanx Mark! Yup, I'll need the gasket. I think the accelerator cable I have is going to work, however I will look at it a little more closely and let you know.
Craig, your carb is ready.😉 5am seemed a little early to call.😛
Fan and spacer added. I think you might need a new accelerator cable as well. Insulator gaskets?
