I’ve decided to list my 1984 FJ60 again. I listed it last year when I was loving in Portland, Oregon, but I removed the listing because I couldn’t resolve an oil leak. It turns out I messed up badly when I was replacing the timing gear cover. I ended up having the whole engine replaced by Tim at Land Cruiser Specialties in Oregon City, Oregon. The replacement engine (1983) came from someone off Ih8mud.
I’m now in Madison, Wisconsin. The vehicle has been in Madison for about a year. It’s been driven in the snow a handful of times. Runs & drives. I daily drove this truck for around 5 years. I stopped driving the truck a while ago due to brake issues. Brakes are not functional at this point. I’m done pretending I have time to do anything about it.

For sale: My beloved blue 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ60. Clean California title, imported by me from British Columbia in 2005. This truck was my daily driver/family road tripper and I absolutely love it — but life moved on and she needs a new dedicated owner. Odometer says 322,275 km which translates into 200,252.4 miles.
It currently won't start – I haven't driven it since September 2025 – though the starter works perfectly and there is strong compression; it seems to be a fuel delivery issue. Runs fine otherwise when it was going.

I purchased this truck in late 2015 and have driven it sparingly in the almost 10 years that i have had it. The 2H diesel was transplanted prior to my ownership and runs on 12v.
The truck was also resprayed at some point prior to my purchase. Since i have had it, i have resprayed the roof as part of a complete replacement in 2022, as well as the rear hatch.
The truck is sound and has given me virtually no problems since i have had it. The only known items to be addressed are an intermittent leak from the power steering box and the original tach which was DOA at time of purchase. I have since added an aftermarket tach.

1983 fj60 Utah truck has body rust but not all that bad. Great running and driving. will need the usual front axle service and fluids changed but has had new ome suspension and is a solid driver. The Aftermarket A/C was not working when I got it and I had to remove the compressor and put the alternator in the factory location. Just put a new battery and alternator, front shocks and wipers. aftermarket new carb and some smog stuff has been removed by previouse owner . I need space for other projects so it has to go. avail in salt lake city now.
I thought I'd be passing this onto my son one day as he's been growing up in it, but it doesn't get driven much lately and it's time to pass her on (again).

It’s a clean example that would serve as a great project for someone that wants a solid driver or someone that wants to completely restore it.
The front right fender and passenger door is dented but I have two good panels to include.

Been on the outside looking in on the community for some time and had no real reasons to post/contribute, and definitely wanted to change that. Grew up knowing someone who had one of these and always wanted one.
Prefer round headlight look, but the square headlights are great too. Trying to avoid an automatic, seen a few of those I didn't jump on.
Best land cruiser would probably be a HJ61, but HJ60 would be perfect tool. Diesel sound is pretty badass.
Maybe something base lined, worked on and in good shape, or a recent barn find that needs to be built up. Throw me some suggestions?
