Replaced them with what? The OEM motors have long since been NLA.

RockAuto has the motors and with and without the assembly from various manufacturers.

Aftermarket ones from rock auto and napa. Would definitely do OEM if I could have, but as you said, they've been nla for quite some time.
I slightly misspoke, they did improve the window speed, but VERY SLIGHTLY and in the case of one window fixed an intermittent issue where the window wouldn't respond to input from the controls on the door or from the driver's door

I just did window runs (OEM) and Dorman regulators with motors (Rock Auto). Window speed has increased dramatically. I did adjust the regulator allignment which helped as well.

This thread is a good one

I don't think the US numbers are dead. The conversation above may have derailed to discussing seat motors instead of windows.

Ah, a lot of times I am scanning over threads. 😐

Cheers

Yes, working on it now.
I would like to put in an order for a Window Rocket for a RHD 1991 HDJ81. Please let me know when it's available. The slow windows bother me and you have come up with a solid solution. Thank you sir.

You need to contact the person who makes them.

This right here.
You're driving a 30 year old vehicle. Try to remember that.
My 1990 Benz 300E and 1992 Subaru SVX have windows that haul butt. I'm not buying the 30 yr argument from anyone.

High quality motor and regulator assemblies made by Aisin are available from Cruiser Outfitters @cruiseroutfit I think 3/4 of mine are from them.

Even with all new OEM window runs and motor/regulator assemblies, mine are a little slow in the winter. I'm stoked to try a Window Rocket - mine should arrive any day now.

My 80: 1996, 252k miles, new PS window rack & motor from Rock Auto ~4yrs ago, sunroof rack removal and rebuild ~5yrs ago, new Odyssey AGM27P (850CCA, 85AH) a month ago showing 13.7v at rest, engine OFF. I use the sunroof almost every time I drive it - because if you don't cycle it, it stops working. No other window track or felt replacement other than spraying silicone lube down the tracks every few years.

Test Process: testing for WORST possible conditions, engine OFF was tested just like I'd pull into the garage, shut down, and close the windows and sunroof. This removes variables in alternator charge rate, other draw on the battery, etc. and should give a more real-world example of speed improvement. I had my ever-helpful wife-unit run the stopwatch on her phone, so factor in some Standard Deviation for wife-unit instruction processing speed 😂...

Here's what I got for Before / After / % improvement:

And the Excel for those of you who like empirical data analysis:

And one pic showing the clearance of the module and exposed relay under the dash, how nicely it fits around the kick panel, and my freshly cleaned foot rest(!):

This was a super easy 🍌 mod, the hardest part was getting the plug oriented correctly to plug it in, because you can't see much under there. Simple tools, and a 15min job:

I am very pleased with the performance after installation. Note that I didn't do ANY prep of replacing window runs, felt, lubing anything, or any other updates so you guys can get an idea of how well this product works, on its own. It's definitely worth the $$$ and time for me, and I'm happy to support another forum member and his small business!

Oh baby, empirical data analysis gets me all hot and bothered :flipoff2: Nice job amigo, and look at that footrest though .

I'll have to do a comparo with my Dorman regulator on the driver window against these numbers to see where I stand. I'll update this post later.
