When you're fixing the brakes I'd highly recommend a disc swap on all four corners. I can't strongly enough advise using stock Toyota components for the front... anything else doesn't come even close. Poser's kit for rear discs is a safe bet for the rear. Is that the ultra cool Downey half cab top in the first pic?Mine was brand new in a1974. I was moving to northern Vermont. Back in the ‘70s it was a snow covered area and ski mountain and there was no way my Firebird 400 was gonna make it thru winter. This was my first new truck and it started a life long affair with FJ40’S. These photos have been posted before I believe but that winter….NOTHING held me back from getting up and over those mountain roads

Yes it is…if I remember correctly…it was around $1700 and came with a panel for the lower half of the truck bed where the top came down by the rear heater. The top really fit perfectly and the navy color contrasted that horizontal blue….looked factory . Jim Sickles commented on it a few months back and who the original manufacturer wasIs that the ultra cool Downey half cab top in the first pic?
