Took a load of body parts (that weren't rusted out) to a shop to get media blasted and a coat of epoxy primer. They should be ready for pick up this next week.

Even with crappy traffic

Looks like Yoda is starting to levitate the car in front of you.

Got the cables in for the lockers. I bought the lockers years ago so it feels good to make this kind of progress. They come up between the front seats

In other news I traded the original locker levers (bj74) for this very nice Colombian sombrero- thanks to Andres!

I have Darth Vader (that I found on the ground near a dumpster) hanging off my rear bumper to force-choke tailgaters.

On-topic, I had to replace my soft fuel line from the steel line on the frame to the fuel filter; the original one had dried, cracked, and was leaking gas. Broke all four bolts holding the battery tray onto it's mount, when taking it off for easier access to the fuel line and filter, so I cut the rusted/corroded captured nuts off of the mount and welded new ones on.

Haven't actually done anything to it this week, but something I thought y'all would appreciate happened. An older gentleman out at the range where I shoot (I'm a competitive skeet and sporting clays shooter) saw the 40 and asked me if it was "an old Willis." I, of course corrected him, telling him it was a Toyota FJ40. To this he replied, "Ooooh? *grinning* That's a pretty tough-riding SOB, isn't it?!" I just grinned and nodded.

@BIG RENO AL please let us know how those work for you, both traction (on- and off-road) and durability/wear. I've been looking to put some new shoes on mine too. They look good! What size? How much were they? Assuming you're on stock suspension, as am I.

CruiserClay: I do have stock suspension. The size of the tire is 31 x 10.5 x 15. The tires are from Les Schwab and were about $190 ea. I thought they might be a bit loud on the road, but they are surprisingly quiet. I have an Elk hunt at the beginning of November so I'll find out how they perform then. I definitely like the look though.

This morning I replaced my RH headlight which got cracked (presumably from a flying stone) within 12mths/5000kms of its installation:

I can't remember the last time I had one wrecked in this way. But these recently-installed headlights are the most pricey/costly I've ever run so I guess that's why it became my turn.. :crybaby:

It got cracked more than 3 mths ago but I've only just replaced it today because I couldn't bear to do it earlier. (If I were to leave my BJ40 with that headlight it would invariably fail its next official 6-monthly roadworthy check because headlight cracks are something the authorities here are fussy about.)

New to me 68, fixed several small problems. Fixed the signal lights, changed the standard hitch plate to reciever type, replace heater hose cutoff valve, replaced oil pressure switch, replace widow felt on drivers door, fixed license plate light, and repaired roof.
