Backed it out of the basement, cruised thru the country side for a few minutes, then parked it, set it on jack stands, and now awaits getting it's under-belly rubbed with some paint. Then it will sit for a while for the paint to cure........It is also getting a face lift as well!

ANd went out in the rain at 11:00pm to check it out. The 4+ rear light protectors did the job despite the rear being buried pretty good. Lockers are great! But I still had to winch up this one.

Rear disk brake upgrade!

Installed new front turn signals, (PO had removed and cover holes, then rewired front parking lights for signals.) Installed equilizer hitch on rear. Ordered Truck-lite headlights. Ordered replacement hose for defroster. Rewired Hazard flasher with new inline fuse that can be replaced easily. Ordered gas struts to go inside original spring loaded struts for rear hatch. Love this forum!!! So many good ideas and help!

I am set to tackle one of my least favorite tuneup procedures on a 3FE. The throttle position sensor is a total pain in the butt! You really can't get easy access to it due to the idle control valve and it is pretty difficult to keep the voltmeter leads on the appropriate pins while turning the sensor to get the correct reading. But, I've unleashed my secret weapon!

I made a test lead out of a spare harness. This should make matters much easier and free up one hand.

Started restoring the doors on my '71. They are in pretty good shape but the bottoms are pretty crusty. Had to cut a hole in the jam of one of them because one of the hinge nuts (inside the door) had a broken bolt and when I tried to extract it, it started spinning inside the door. Good times. The DS top frame needs a bit of work too, the window channels are rotted off about 8" from the bottom.

Big thanks to Jeremy Cole!! He finished off my wiring nightmare on my 78 BJ40. He can handle any issue. He actually fixed stuff that must have been done during the cave-man era...

Everything works as it should and he did an awesome dual battery set up. I'll post pics ASAP.

Picked up a NV4500 yesterday and got my body parts back from blasting and prime today. Everything looks solid except the bottom of the ambulance doors, those are going to need some work.

. Can you get a shot of the truck from a bit more distance so we can see how the black bumper affects the overall look?
