I'm slowly getting the 2FE together. While its a small accomplishment, I still have a long way to go.

Very nice work on the exhaust and beautiful cruiser!!
I noticed the rear muffler is awfully close to the rear axle if you take it off road it will most likely hit the muffler. My two cents worth.

Good eye. I will get a measurement. Hopefully it's just the camera angle. I'll soon find out.

Its getting close to top back on season, and being that I don't have one I can currently use (its a bit rusty and needs work) I've been dd-ing the 40 for fun while its still nice enough in Seattle to do it. Who cares about the MPG when you drive something that just puts a smile on your face, right?

After almost 2 years of downtime and tinkering to keep it going, I have to admit its been nice just to drive it this summer and not mess with anything. For those still in the rebuilding phase, keep going! Its awesome when it just drives and you don't open the garage door to a vehicle stripped down to the tub with parts all over the place.

Helped a buddy rebuild my carb, she's back and running again. What a difference that makes. Just need to adjust the valves and get a bigger jet.

Beautiful green rig!

I haven't done anything for my poor cruiser in months. I haven't even washed it all summer.... so tomorrow. She's getting a well needed bath. Going to vacuum out the half inch of dust and leaves, and wash all the dirt and grease off. Hopefully this weekend I can swap out the transfer case and fix the leaking rear brake line. Pretty much going to spend the weekend fixing all the stuff I've been neglecting all summer.

Picked up 44 yesterday and drove around Vegas on the way home.... Her new heart (fully rebuilt 2F, including head/valves) is beating strong and her new exhaust purrs like a mountain lion. Her new clutch is a joy to use!

Now, if only it would cool down enough to drive her ... 108 is too simply hot to enjoy a ride in a moving oven... I sweated out a few pounds of fluids, just driving home.

Here's a couple of pictures... Just to prove the engine is back in...

Glad to see you've got it back Danny.

I hear you. I am in Vegas for work right now and I could do without the 100+ degree weather. That engine compartment is clean! (a few too many wires though :) )

Thanks! I'm thinking of getting rid of the plug wires. ;)

It's supposed to cool into the 90s... We'll see...

I lubed my driveshaft for the first time since I put my rig all together back in 2010. It needed it. One zerk was missing, and they're not easy to find at the auto parts store. I had to borrow the one out of my spare yoke.

I believe it's a 96451-00600, 6mm x 0.75?? It was finer thread than anything they had in the store.
