Removed the seats, gas tank, rear heater and tons of PO bed liner. Note to self, there is WAY more antifreeze that comes out than you think when you remove the heater hoses. Big mess in the garage to clean up.

Also got my box of gold from Dave in the mail this week. No more rusty bolts and nuts.
Dave who?? I could use a kit like that. Thanks

I've been working weekdays out of town since August 2014 and my 40's only been fired up once, around Thanksgiving. One and a half days home didn't leave much time to take care of my baby. Had to pull the ICM out of the distributor, clean off the oxidation and put on new dielectric grease to get it to start. Then I had to replace a cracked and leaking fuel line. Good to be home and time to start getting ready for the Rubithon.

Started my 25k service... Cause the dash says 25k.... Checked and Set the timing :

And installed all new Denso plugs gapped at .031

Waiting on my dizzy parts from TPI Bob to finish and then adjust the valves & change the oil.

The original bumper had seen it's better days. Swapped out the front bumper short version black bumper. Added stinger and winch mount...Low buck, easy bolt on install took about an hour.

Had a good weekend working on the fj. All New rubber brake line, bled the raked and clutch. Changed the oil and did a compression test. Smashed my finger and cussed a lot so it was a pretty good weekend.

Cut out the inner rocker panel and floor board. It looked so much better hidden under the PO's bondo job - the fun begins

Sweet bench covers from Cruisercorps in dark gray arrived, and finally installed/fixed reverse switch and bracket for the 3 speeder.

How do you like those doors. Do they rattle at all or are they pretty quiet?

They are MetalTech and I like them really well. I reviewed them (along with some Redline tube doors I previously had) in this thread here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/tube-doors-redline-metal-tech-compared-on-the-same-truck.623479/

You can adjust the provided door strikers pretty easily so they don't rattle. I do have some thin foam tape on the tub where the doors touch, mostly to keep the paint from wearing off.
