Finally put my transmission and transfer case back together and installed new seals, gaskets, t-case savers and twin sticks. One step closer to getting this thing installed.

purdy! Like the gold and black

Also want to thank @fjgoober for the upper and lower dash pads!

Your welcome and glad you are pleased with them.

I installed a anti-wrap bar this week. Made it from spare parts laying around from the rear end swap from a 97 fzj80 under the '78 40. I think it will be much improvement. Hopefully no more broken pinion shafts.

I debated on whether to cut the forward bushing housing off on the top arm or just notch the radius to fit down over the lower arm. If I cut it, it would be cleaner but I would have lost approximately 2 inches on length......So you can see what I went with. Need to take a picture installed. After looking at the picture I wished I would have cut the bushing off.....Too late now.

Putting on the skid plate today.

Installed my "Johnny Cash" radio in my SOR console. Wish I would have gotten a tuffy console instead.

ha ha ha.......it seems I left my parking brake on, on the 82 fj40, pulled into a clients house(who owns a Cruiser) and the left rear was smoking. My 1st thought was I blew a brake line or wheel cylinder.....but then I realized I had the 82 and the parking brake was on the rear axle not the driveline ;) but now I must adjust both, because if only the left was smoking....then the right was not adjusted correctly :D

besides that.......drove the 82 most of last week and loved life

Saturday my wife and I brought home the 40's "new" engine! It's a Gen 1 SBC 350. According to the date code, I believe it was built in 1976. It came with the first generation of Holly ProJection, a healthy cam, Elderbrock Performer intake manifold, etc... I've started the cleaning process and will be putting new gaskets on it and painting it red.

Now I really need to find a GM truck bell housing to bolt it up to my SM465!
