finally got my metal tech tube doors. fabbed up some aluminum brackets for factory sideview mirrors. . .

then took junior for his first ride on the 40!

Well, that is just darn cool!! You could prolly sell those on here...looks like another excellent idea filling a need...mudders are great!

Good looking ride!

Finished up my power steering conversion, ordered an Orion 4.0:1 from Valley Hybrids, pulled the front axle and stripped it in prep for the cut and turn, and began tearing down the rear axle for the disk brake swap.

Displaced the Chevrolet steering wheel.

thanks! i must've searched off and on for other options for side mirrors other than off the windshield frame (due to snorkel). this set up made complete sense to me.

Completed the body work and got it primed. Got all hardware back from the plater for the factory look. A small bed load of parts to the powder coating shop. Placed the tub back on the frame to check alignment and put on the top for the same. About to remove all glass and have the top and doors all soda blasted. A good week in the build for sure. (guy in the shot is the newest jeep convert. Sold his military jeep to buy my spare truck... SCORE!)

Dropped my 2F and all the new shiny parts off to a friend to get the short block assembled. Didn't end up having time to get the thing built so I decided to have someone do it to help the project move along

Fixed hazards...fixed brake lights...fixed horn...and then washed her in celebration!

used one to tow the other home! (and yes you should tie down your hood so it doesn't try to fly off... at least I didn't dent it!)

This is mud member Chamba's old rig. I bought it from him just about a year ago. I am almost used to all the cell phone pics taken by other drivers!

I hope to see him today at the Rising Sun rally! I'll have to ask him about that, love that top...

I'm calling BS on this one. Everybody knows there is no such thing as hazards, horn, and brake lights working at the same time. Great work!

Just did JimC's carb clean hail mary and it worked! It's running well again! Thanks JimC!

Well, all but the idle mixture screw part because I found it stripped out as if it was damaged from someone trying to get the cap off :bang:
