Built cooler rack for back of tire carrier. Mounted a automatic fire surpresion system. Getting ready for big trip to somewhere. Next project is skid plates an a new cage.

Maiden voyage after disc conversion, alll new high steer, front housing, new rear lockers, new bearings and seals in both axles. Been working for 4 monther to get her drivable and reliable. Three hour cruise to Pismo, wheel around the dunes for a while in the lovely cool temps, then head back home to the heat. Crossed the hills back into the central valley 100 degree temps again, did 65 ish all the way home no.problem at all. Engine water temp would hit 220 or so climbing some of the bigger grades, but she ran excellent for close 9 straight hours, with stops for fuel and lunch.

I'm very pleased, was a good trip.

Hazard light circuit, rewired spotties, wired up the reverse light circuit, made room for the new tail lights under the tray, plugged some hole in the back of the transmission, put a new gasket on that bit, stainless steel smoke stack, ripped out old carpet, plugged some holes in the exhaust, did a few tip runs, drove around town for poops and giggles..

Did a good bit with kevin over the years. He is first class an a proven winner in everything he touches. Most of the parts came off old stock car engine that Kevin had built.

ran ground wires from the turn signals/marker lights so they'd work properly.
found out that the PO, Dad, decided to just jam wires into female electrical connectors. those wires corroded and fell out, which explains why my rear side marker lights didn't work.

I eyeballed the rust on the frame and the transfercase oil drip while i was under the cruiser.

Makes me want to tear it all apart and build it up from scratch...if i had a garage.

replacement manifold gasket, adjusting valves, and rebuild rear wheel cylinders.

i finaly got around to installing my "large cap" dizzy from a 60
and did a complete tune up, i adjusted my valves, set my timing, and adjusted my idle mixture.
i installed
-OEM cap
-OEM rotor
-OEM dizzy sealing "o" rings
-fuel filters
-air filter
-PCV
-plugs
-wires

and i ran two cans of sea foam through her letting it sit between dosages, and smoked the $#!t out of the neighbors lol

and for a tractor engine she sure dose run well!!!

Re installed the heater after a full home recon
fitted new valve as the old one had rusted shut
Started on the hub/ bearing rebuild...

ONE BANANA my a$#e!!! Took me 4-5 hours for just one side, my hands have never ached soo much (yeah I know I need to get myself a pack of tissues and a violin!)

Started replacing the tie rod ends as well

Roof is off and headliner installed - Found some lovely rust but she'll live

Replaced water pump. I had a used one I was going to use, but ended up ordering a new one and all new hoses around there and around the oil cooler loop. Got the parts from Sam at Lowe Toyota. Great service, price and shipping!

I also motivated to replace the spark plug holding the water in the radiator with the correct plastic drain cock. Great tip if you're stuck for one. The spark plug is readily available at the auto parts for less than the plastic drain cock.

Replaced left rear brake cylinders, replaced brakeline I screwed up, Replaced header and collector gaskets, and replaced header bolts with Stage 8 blots and retainers.

MC stupidity

Installed new MC the hard way. Backed out stop bolt on new MC out of curiousity, dumb. Screw it in, bench bleed the brakes. Installed new MC. No fluid to front breaks. Wife yelling. Removed new MC. Turned out that simple bolt was to be screwed in with pistons pushed all the way in. After hours of bewilderment, shined a flashlight in hole and barely saw shredded aluminum(and read manual). Figured out I possibly ruined a "new MC". Knowing there was a way around this stupidity, tore the old one down, put the new gaskets on old pistion, assembled new MC, bench bled and breaks work better than ever. Lesson, read the original manual. Long way to go about installing a new MC, but I learned.

Had the leaf springs re-bent and gained almost 3 inches! Replaced my worn out shocks while I was at it!

Ya she runs better then she has in a long time. I'm not sure but my first fuel filter (closest to the tank) had quite a bit of rust/ dirt so hopefully that was all that was wrong.

Finished the restore / rebuild job on the doors all new gaskets and weather stripping. I am ready for the chilly drives to work.
