I replaced the filter and cleaned the housing of the in line filter for my power steering/hydro boost hydraulic system. I was surprised at the shrapnel ( spelling? )that it caught. Good thing I have a filter. This thing is awesome. Its a Moroso product. As the picture illustrates, it also dissipates heat by maximizing surface area. Stopping and steering 44's is a big job.

- Rebuilt my rear locker motor (thanks for the help Cam!)
- Replaced about 5 burnt out dash switch light bulbs
- Found my CDL harness, bought CDL switch
- Pin 7 "mod" - more control over CDL operation
- Fixed my radio antenna connection

Installed new rear view mirrors, and purchased the last of the parts needed for a front axle rebuild!

Filled up the tank for the first time in many months. Found a flat spot on acceleration once the choke was off.

Plumbed in the vacuum gauge a little more reliably.

Pulled the cage I wasn't going to use, and sold it.

Finally started with the rubbing compound clean up of the body. The hood looks years younger now.

dropped xfer case, tranny, bell housing. sent in dizzy to get recurved. checked rear engine freeze plugs (look good). prepping to replace front and rear main seals, resurface flywheel, clean and paint all that crap and put it back together. I figure I have 3 weeks for the dizzy to come back so that should give me enough time.

Well the handbrake parts arrived for the rebuild, and managed to spit out what sounds like the crank bearings! So uh more from me later and yeah she's a daily driver cause there meant to be right? Kiwi troopy rocks!

Got started

Pulled the wifes Tahoe out of the garage and pushed my troopy in with the tractor. Promptly put on the new to me wheels & tires and then was ready for the real work.
Pulled the tranny that was in it (H41?) that was without a xfr and installed a H42 and split case from a 60. Reattached the props and filled the master and slave. Bled both to get it working and DROVE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME STATESIDE! WAAAHHHOOO!!!!!
Now I gotta get a wiring harness, change the fluids and filters and find a transmission hump that will work. I really don't want to cut my stock one.

Well it's getting close to fall and getting cold so I ordered some new door pins from CC. I got them in today and a fellow cruiser buddy helped put my doors back on

Too funny! I bought a set of 1977 plates to put on mine, after I found how much personalized plates are these days. I had a cool one thought up, but not for $195 a year! Crazy!!!!

1. Put on this, reminder of my years on the NSP before wife and kids
2. Put in Biscuit (right) and his brother Buddy who is our house guest this week
3. Took them both here

I fitted some extended shackles :)

Did you install castor correction shims in the front? Without them your truck will be all over the road.

Nice! What are the plans for it?

I plan to drive it when I don't need to seat 4-5 ;) (and there's no salt on the roads )

It's a 7-74, I put a 2F in it, had the 4-speed in it along with the lower tcase gears (I believe), 4wdb, Toy PS, new OME suspension, just benchmarking all the fluids and such now, got tags today. My plan is to drive it :steer: no wheeling as I have a hilux for that and I also have a long term project 60 series going...
