Got my 40 ready for this week’s arctic blast. Houston is expected to get 4-8” of snow. I’ll believe that when I see it, and there will be pictures.

My horn did work, but seemingly only when my 5 yr old son presses it.

In the video, there should be a large plate washer after the split washer, but someone installed it after the spring. I’ll put it together tomorrow to test it for consistency and report back with images.
I believe am missing the spring with the pin and the insulator ..

Maybe 3" inches! I parked my ride on the 5th floor where she's nice and safe!

Reinstalled and tested and….It works!

From horn button down:
1) Retaining Nut
2) Split Washer
3) Plate Washer
4) Button Retaining Ring/ Spring
5) Rubber
6) Horn Plate
7) Spring (contact)

I was removing my radiator, and pushed on my front brake hard line to move it away from the frame, and all of a sudden it started dripping…

Apparently it had been rubbing on the frame…

Easy fix, though. Needed to bleed the brakes anyway.

Also made another radiator frame cross-brace for the driver’s side…

Was it leaking from the chewed part?!

I think redline Cruisers sells a unique radiator drain pipe.
No affiliation.

I had this happen on a camping trip when my braided turbo oil line rubbed a hole in the brake line. Had to drive 4 hours home through the mountains with no brakes, 3 kids, and 2 dogs in a heavily laden 60 on 35's. These are the things that separate a trip from an adventure. 😁

Working with @orangefj45 and the team at Terrain Tamer to get @50peaks set up with new suspension for his 1976 fj40, Sunflower. 🌻

Follow along as he gets ready for a rally down Route 66 in March. IG @cruising_with_noah
