Nice to see large format applied to a 40, amazing detail and grey scale. Doubt my Nikon D850 can capture that amount of detail, especially in the shadows. Thanks for sharing

Thanks. Just can't wait until I finish my project and drive it to some mountain to take large format picture. .. I have 3 Nikon cameras... it can take great pictures.. but 8x10 format film has something beyond of detail and quality.. like FJ40 has something what modern SUV with full electronic doesn't. ..

Nicely put, intangible “something”, yes! I have a very nice 4Runner TRD Pro as well, but guess which rig I enjoy driving more? Hint: it is not the 4Runner.

‘78 owner here as wellEpic setup you have there sir. If I may ask, what roof rack and tent are you running?

The confer roof rack mounts were not quite tall enough which allowed the roof rack to rub the top. I ordered some gamiviti extended gutter mounts. Much better look and I have a good 2 inches between the rack and the top.

Okay - this is what I've done to my cruiser "this month"...:
Installed the Family Soft Top,
After ordering 3 water pumps, I finally got the heavy duty one I wanted,
Installed a new FrostBite 4core radiator: Although I had to cut, bend and beat up my existing u-frame to get the new radiator to fit...
New thermostat, thermo housing, new top and bottom hoses.
New overflow bottle and hoses.
New fuse box installed.
Also got a 32" LED light bar 4my B-Day - quick and easy install . . .

And Plenty More FUN Stuff
Sorry - all my radiator and water pump pictures were taken on a different phone...

At 1st my 74' FJ40 was a weekend warrior, however most of my off road buddies are either dead, in jail, or are drug addicts - so I pretty much off road alone these days...
Weekend drive time is not enough! So I am prepping my truck for street use so I can drive and enjoy all week long!!!
And so the MADNESS CONTINUOUS!
