Painted the exhaust manifold with some high temp cast iron grey, should look alright when bolted back to the aluminum intake manifold and back on the head. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cheers
Exhaust manifold looks great. I painted mine with POR high temp manifold paint and it’s already starting to show very discolored “hot spots” after only 3 months. Disappointed with that and hope yours works out better!

Where did you get that pipe holder? I gotta get one

Installed this OEM 🙄 steering wheel. Well at they said if I put the sticker on no one would know the difference. 😂

Very nice to see items put back into use. Especially after finding them collecting dust for over a decade in an outbuilding on a farm! Thanks for posting the progress pics.

@blueyednd that bend is not correct. It is very common (so common most think it’s oem..) it usually happens when someone steps on or puts to much weight on the center console. Just a Friendly heads up. Mine was that way too when I got mine.

Bought a set of 74 seats including the console. That one was still straight. My 73 and 76 both had the custom bend. Can see it on the 73 and 74 models since passengers in the back could let themselves out with a hatch. 75 plus had ambulance doors. But usually the bend is caused by someone stepping on the console. Personally knowing it's bend I would straighten it out. Already did it on my 76.

More like Footmade...

Two of four frozen wheel cylinders on the front axle. Years of neglect and old oil left them completely stuck. Had to heat one along with some penetrating oil to loosen it up. There are some great tutorials on Mud that made it easy to do. Of course it took lots of elbow grease to free them up, rebuilding was super easy. I also made some new brake lines, can’t beat the Titan flare tool. It’s worth the money and much better than the tool set I bought at Napa.

Installed a set of floor mats from Cruiser Corps. Fit is very good and they look nice.

Cold weather... take some large format film photography....

Nice to see large format applied to a 40, amazing detail and grey scale. Doubt my Nikon D850 can capture that amount of detail, especially in the shadows. Thanks for sharing👍
