Will one kit do the entire 40?

Almost.
I found you will need to order more 6mm nuts and washers, and maybe more 6mm bolts in the 20mm range. Prob an additional 50 of each...
I also found you don't use much of the 10mm stuff.
But boy it's pretty.... :)

Was it an easy installation? Does it look durable?

I couldn't believe how easy it was. I installed it myself in about 15 minutes. No instructions, just winged it and it turned out great. And yes, it looks very durable. I'm anxious to drive it and see what it does. Since I'm far from the first to own one, I'm not worried at all about it. I will give it a review though.

Took my 10 year old daughter for her first ride in my 40 with the roof off. :D I’ve driven with the roof off since before she was born.

I learned the hard way that if the kick out window isn’t fully latched the latch can break in two... now I’ll have to find a new latch. :(

In the last couple weeks... replaced the P4070 Carter pump since it stopped pumping fuel after 23 years. Swapped in a spare heater core for the rear heater. Pulled fuel tank chasing fuel smell, found a small pin leak, and a cracked fuel line that was leaking. Replaced the clutch return spring since the old one had broke.

Quite sure the pump could still work if it was cleaned out... despite always having run a fuel filter, there was a bunch of varnish and crap in it. It was surprisingly clean inside overall... no rust. The P4070 Carter is a very well built pump... although I’m not super confident in the lower pressure version that is not made in the USA.

All in all positive... just need to find a kick out handle to replace the one that broke.

Helping with recovery and flagging at the Dirt riot races at the Buffalo Chip outside of Sturgis. A buddy is co-driving for his 10 year old son in his racer 80! Go Landen!

Landen won the Powel Wyoming race a few weeks ago that’s part of the Yellowstone Offroad race series!

I could not for the life of me get my brake master cylinder to stop seeping. So, I finally bit the bullet and replaced the master with a mini-truck master. I have 4 wheel disc on my rig, so I figure it would be best to get an updated master for the old girl.

Since the brake lines did not match up, i had to come up with a solution. Advanced auto sells copper/nickel lines that bend pretty nicely. SO, after a few bends, I have this. Not perfect, but after bleeding the system, it stops on a dime! Better brake feel than my Audi!

That material is pretty easy to work with. I actually got paid to do some of this at work back in 1998 - test assemblies almost identical to this:

Times sure have changed - I was able to check two of these (in aluminum cases) as luggage on Southwest, didn't even need to open them for inspection.

You can't have a Toyota Diesel 40 without a Snorkel and after way to long I finally got my hands on a RHD Snorkel so the 3BT can breath without a cross over.
Very cool!
