That rear bumper/tire carrier/jerry can holder looks pretty cool. Did you build it? Do you have any more photos?

@fjdiesel : The image was created by me via Photoshop from an internet grab.

For the above image you speak of, I altered the vehicle to the hue of olive drab I'm seeking, which is a specific color of DuPont Imron Elite commercial coating (once called Aircraft Green, an olive drab, and used by the U.S. Army on Cobra attack helicopters during the mid 1970's till the early 1980's); I placed a Keswick Green colored stripe on it & my Skydog logo, etc; and placed the '77 vehicle into a snowy forested setting (a pic of mine & intimately common to me), as shown.

The conjured image serves as realistic to me inspiration. A motivation.

Mine is a '79 and is currently completely dissembled (as in every single nut & bolt, all packaged up & secured indoors), although each of the components of mine is either in perfect condition or is brand new (will be quite nice when completed). The rebuild process of mine should therefore be fairly straight forward & not overly difficult or tricky. But simply time-consuming & $$-related, as there will of course need to be additional $$-expenses dumped into her equation along the way, as most each of us here know all too well.

The image below, which is a '79 & similarly extracted from the internet, has also been altered by me, and similarly reflects my "road map." ... I'm Champing At The Bit Eager to get her rebuilt... and driven (with hope by a gorgeous woman, or her as a passenger at my immediate side) across the creek and up the slope of the mountain hill.

Pics? I was wondering what master cylinder you used? I'm going to disc on all corners, and guessing I'll need a new master cylinder.

I'll take a few later today. If your useing 4 wheel disks I've seen quite a few posts while searching here that a late 60's corvette master that might work, if you want manual disks.

I'm still going to be running manual drums so I'm useing a Master for a 60's chevy nova with drum brakes. I made a spacer to allow it to sit flat on the firewall out of some 1/4" aluminum plate, it's pretty simple. Flat plate, radiused edges and corners to fit the area on the firewall well, 1 5/8"ish hole in the center and 2 bolt holes on the sides.
I'm going to drill the firewall for new mounting bolts and tack weld 2 stove bolts in onto the fire wall when I weld my floor patches in. It's got the same bore( 1") as the toyota Master, the pushrod fits in the same depth, the rubber boot fits on like it was made for it and the whole thing fits though the firewall fine. Total pistol travel even seems similar and it was $35 new.

Well not really this week but past 4 weeks

1. Rewired the whole truck with painless off road harness

2. Installed Holley Sniper /Hyperspark system on previously Chevy TBI engine

3. Installed Dakota Gauges

I still need some clean up work , correct bolt for air cleaner , redo dash radio bezel , all in all everything went well with minor issues , now to get the speedo working

New custom steel rack for soft top over bed , new winch with custom mounting plate, new Rigid lights all for HJ45. Rebuilt knuckles on both 40 & 45. Had caked up mud removed from inside of 45 frame hollow. Tightened steering on 40. Backed both into Land Cruiser Only parking.

I’m finding the cruiser is happiest in the deep stuff. The slushy mess ranging from 0-6” of varying depths across the lane isn’t ideal with a taller rig and 90” wheelbase.

Now a foot or more it is as happy as a pig in ‘poop’

Happy with Painless? Also what steering column is that? I'm also planning Dakota

@hairy_apple was it welded closed before??

It was torched out, and a steel plate welded behind the jagged holes, and then bondoed over. It was a sad, sad mess. I have no idea why someone would do that, but they did it. And I've been bitter about it for almost 20 years now. lol

That's crazy!

My guess would be it was because someone broke into it that way with a coat-hanger...? It must have really pissed him off to do something that drastic.. Those kick vents are a huge part of their charm. It's one thing that I dislike about the ICONs that TLC builds. (aqualu tub)

Finally righted a wrong from the PO. 17 years this has pissed me off. lol No sweaty crotch this summer!

Your crotch will still get sweaty... it just won’t look like you didn’t make it in time.

If security was a concern, it’d be so much easier to modify it so it’ll lock... sure it could be pried open, but windows are still breakable... pick your poison.
