Is that a Miller 330 ab/p in the background? I’ve got the Airco version. Love that beast.

I don’t know for sure what model it is, but it’s old and loud. But will tig awesome! I’ve used it with stick a few times when someone forgets to refill the argon, no complaints there either. Real good on aluminum, too.

Cheers!

As I mentioned to @RAGINGMATT on a post Tuesday there was an electrical short in the harness of my 45 which I discovered when I went to drive home Tuesday night. Turned on headlights, boom, instant 30 amp draw.

After a few minutes of looking around with a flashlight, I found a foot-long section of exposed wire near the taillights. It took 10 minutes of fussing to unplug the sub-harness from the main loom (never touched in 54 years). Power back to normal. Drove home.

This morning i dropped the skidplate to get a good look at everything. Found a good place to open up the loom and cut free the taillights, which as luck would have it was one inch upstream from where the wire started heating up.

Since I found no obvious cause for the meltdown, I am sure that replacing the wire will only address the symptom, but will likely not be the cause. Will continue the hunt for that shortly( no pun intended)

It? Something that fine should have a name :)
My wife and I call it the Land Cruiser. We haven't really ever named our vehicles.
Besides, I'm not going to get too attached to it, it will be on the auction block soon.

I will officially name your vehicle with the name Blue Moon. In honor of the beer that we will never drink over our hoods... :)

If you'd just work faster, we might make it yet.

Did someone mention a porter?

I think I’ll crack the top on a Black Butte right now!

@oregonfj I'll tell you what. If you don't mind, I'll just bring my 78, and we can meet up anytime. Oh and we can't forget our other 64 compadre. Lets meet tomorrow at a place of your choice. I'm down for anywhere... what say you?

I'm a IPA guy myself... :)

Keith is in Seattle this weekend, so he is out. I've got a Porsche club thing in the morning tomorrow, but free in the afternoon (I think). Shoot me a PM, we can trade contact info and see what we can work out.

Actually, I may take the 40 to the P-car coffee gathering at 10. Many of them like seeing my other projects.

I used to run 285/75/16 on my truck and they were lot wider than yours 285/75/17 ...Are they 33'' size or 34" ?they look like 255/85/16 narrow and skinny
