did the Raptor lining add noticeable weight? I imagine it will provide some sound deadening.

I asked the painter to "fill in the gouges" I made while removing yhe head liner...

In the process he when ahead and added a whole layer of glass mat and resin.

The reinforced fiberglass and the raptor really helped the structure of the top.. I weighs more but not by much...

I would do it again

When the Wife want's to go shopping and asks to take the cruiser, well who am I to say "NO"? Hid my 40 behind the red sea of carts.

Spent a lot of time removing the old window runs out of both doors and replacing. The new OEM stuff definitely looks like it will hold up better than the factory felt that I pulled out. The OEM is rubber backed with a synthetic looking felt that makes contact with the window. Also installed new vapor barriers that I received from Rick @GA Architect. Highly recommend these! Took her for an afternoon spin yesterday and the doors/windows are amazingly quiet now. The rest of the cab is a different story

@alabamatacomaguy.... know I’m late asking but - How’d you fare from Hurricane Michael?

Im good thanks. My area for work and life didnt get touched we were on the weak side of the storm, I dont go east of seaside or Rosemary Beach

........a few miles east was destroyed, when driving to Tallahassee with my wife a week back it was 2 hours at 80 miles per hour worth of destruction.

There is a member here that has a few land cruisers and was building a red fj25 I think it was in Panama City. I hope he did ok. Ill search for him when work isnt killing me tonight.

And can anyone name all the things that go in the extra holes on the bumper? I've got the license plate frame, so that's two of 'em.
Fog lights...

Brian, I never researched what they were all for. Luckily, my factory winch hides many of them.

How difficult was this?

Not difficult in my case, just time consuming really. Definitely worth the effort though for sure. PM me if you want more details about the job
I'm a long way from installing any kind of weatherstripping. I was recalling removing mine and thinking I hope I can get all this back together.

Performed the Light Shade Modification " Program " to another KMH Cluster Meter Instrument Gauge , I needed to bench test the

working Prototype of my New Barrel Connectors so i said what the heck , also installed Green Superbright LED's in the 2 interior

illumination sockets bays .

I still Like Blue Better , it highlights the Orange Needles like a Black-Light

I have seen your reference to the "light shade modification" several times. I can not find a thread on it. Are you just removing the 3 sided metal surrounding the bulbs?

I did not coin the phrase , It was in a thread i saw a long time ago & also where i learned how to do it as well

- u will need a 1/8" drill bit

- dissemble your cluster meter down to the bare back metal board or housing

- The Light shades are the round things that look the The Darth Vader Light Shade , but mini in size comparison

- this is where the two 194 / T-10 interior wedge type bulb live

- proceed slowly drilling out the 4 spot welds on the 2 round shades as shown

- once u have all 4 spot welds drilled u will need to wiggle the shade back and forth with your fingers for it to come off

- DO NOT touch the 3 square shade tubes or tunnels , they are for the turn signal and high beam indicator bulbs

- u can now Install the biggest highest LUMEN LED bulbs on the market from SUPERBRIGHTLED.com

- Its Now " Halloween " in side your cluster meter :alien:

- only cost involved are the 2 LED bulbs & a 1/8" drill bit

- from start to finish takes me about 2 solid hours , so figure on 3 hours if u have not done it before , also take before disassembly photos if u have never taken a cluster meter apart before as well

- This is one of the Best Low Cost , HIGH Tech upgrades features , yet simple to do on a
40 series LandCruiser in my opinion , with Instant Gratification results as well

- There are NO down sides or side impact type affects i have ever seen or run across after the fact , i have performed at least a dozen on my own trucks and my clients over the years

- Like i mentioned : - Its Now " Halloween " in side your cluster meter

Mechanical winch uses 4 of them, I don´t know how the electrical one is mounted. Fog lights take 2 more.
