Jen you can't expect much from someone that mounts the spare tire backwards! Good eye!!

@Booch are you planning on making your own CCOT calender?? Geez the rest of our 40 pics just cant compare to that!!!

Knocked out making the rear brake lines tonight. On to the front this weekend! Space was a little tight on the short side...especially with the ubolt flip!

Applied a marine grade epoxy made for fiberglass to the spider cracks I already deepened. Left it cure for 18 hours and sanded down smooth this morning in preparation for the experts to apply a new layer of glass to the top. The spider cracks were to extensive and the opinion was to cover with a layer of fiberglass and a layer of cheesecloth then sand down smooth.

Hopefully by this time in the next two weeks I will have the cap back and be ready to apply primer and paint.

any guesses of whats poking out from under the tarp?

Well, there's 2 axles there so I'd say cable locking full float, but your sig says you already have those

got the front clip into epoxy primer, reduced it, and shot it as a final sealer.
Wil be painting it here in a few. All painting should be wrapped up by the eclipse... :)

Disk brake front axel. Probably 60 series.
nearly, close.

hehe, nice guess, jap hj61 front and rear full float cables.

while we are at it, is it possible to change the gears to a different ratio in the locked centers? because i believe i have got 3.7's and need to change them to 4.11's. thanks

After twice asking for a rebalance (big box store I purchased from) of my current wheel/tire combo in hopes of reducing the vibration at speeds over 45... I finally got over my inheirant belief that when one spends a considerable amount of money, one will receive a considerable amount of service..... meh!

Since I've never had an alignment done since replacing TRE's, other than the jack stand with string, I decided this to be a start. Unnamed big store that sells tires/wheels curiously does not do alignments! Search for a more local and recommended mom n pop shop got me to I believe, the right place...

I went ahead and sprung for both long overdue alignment and the more intensive and 'expensive' form of balancing (road force). Felt like money well spent as I had a significantly smoother ride home... still a small shimmy that is most likely due to a steering box in need of love that I refuse to give since I'm squirreling away $$$ for a PS upgrade!

Sometimes bigger is not better...... tire shops anyway ;)

Cool waiting room too........

I also had the road force balance done on my newly installed 33's. I had no confidence in the shop that I originally purchased the tires from (a local BFG store) since there were multiple small weights shoulder to shoulder on 3 of the 4 wheels and they gouged the steel on the backsides of 2 rims.

It was money well spent with an honest shop that does good work they stand behind. I would have purchased the tires from them to start with but they don't sell BFG's.

Are you certain they're 3.7s? I'm pretty sure my HJ61 axles are 4.11s. I didn't notice any change with my speedo reading when I installed them on my 62.

As much as I enjoyed looking at the engine bay components, I decided to install the painted hood.

After a quick ride to see what it looked like from the driver's seat I parked back in the shop and installed the windshield blocks/hooks.

Now we just need a windshield frame for them to hook to. .
