I picked up

the seats for my 45 from the upholstery shop yesterday.

Hopefully fixed the issues with my 203/splitcase combo and got half of my body mounts replaced...

I installed my new lower dash pads that I purchased from www.fj40dash.com. They are awesome! Great customer service also, received a shipping notice literally only a few minutes after I placed the order (how is that even done?). So glad they are offering these, at a great price also.
I did notice it really helps if you have small, child like hands (I do not)

to install. I was only able to get one nut and washer on the pad by the emergency brake.

This looks really nice! Do you @drnekFJ40 have any original pewter/ash metallic grey items to compare the color to? Might be a little darker but would be nice to see them side by side. Thanks!
My original color on cluster(not sure if it is original to be honest) is a lot lighter than this new color Duplicolor Nissan Precision grey...I wanted it darker but still lighter than my 1G3 magnetic grey of my dash and I like it a lot...I will try to compare it more in the photo next time...

rattles drive me nuts.......

I was planing on doing the door W/S.....but took another gander at my rattling doors(PS was the worse)....seemed like it was actually the outside door handle rattling, quick text message this AM and pair(OEM aint cheap) would be at my dealer Sat AM. But seeing how I had to wait almost a whole day to get the parts and I had not had my Adderall(speed) yet for the afternoon(I am not kidding)......I figured I should look at the inside of the door.

Well, the plastic was still virgin.....hurt to have to peal it away. I watched to see what all was moving, adjusted the bolt that connects the handle to the latch(it is slotted) to the door latch, still rattling handle. pulled out a tiny zip tie and put it around the post that connects the bits, this took up the slack that had come from 34 years, almost no rattle in handle now.. I then removed 1 of the 2 shims behind the striker and readjusted the striker and took her for a ride......no more rattle :) Doors fit tight. When I get the new handles I will see if there wear was in the handle or in the door latch or a bit of both

3B/H55/TC installed in my 78 BJ40. Old B motor and 4sp sold. All new wiring and we took the time to paint firewall. Now it's time to get er dirty. First ride this weekend. Big shout out to Jeremy Cole for his great work and Joekatana

x2, I have the Metaltech Jackson as well and was wondering what a dashbox would look like in there.

I built speaker enclosures for my overhead console, here's the process I followed. Thanks to @ginmtb and @Weber Sarge for the great ideas!
