you missed out on a more epic picture if you would have got a white hundo![]()
Things to do on my unit:
HiD or LED conversion
Fix broken woofer
Figure out paint and order replacement paint pen so I can fix rock chips on hood
Would love it if anyone can suggest where to get replacement paint and which lights to get. I don’t like those cheap super bright hid.
Had a great trip up to get the family Christmas tree. Got to love the sierras. Stopped off a Alabama Hills for a bit as well. Love that place.View attachment 1846521 View attachment 1846522 View attachment 1846523 View attachment 1846524
Oh, and I added some more storage to the top

Are you keeping the stock torsion bars and shocks?
That reminds me, I need to get my Huey out of my garage.Removed the fender flares and the dull faded bug deflector. Now to get polishing on the paint. Being a central FL truck, it was surprisingly clean under the flares.

Continuing on with my sleeping platform. The front section base is done. I’m not a great welder but it’ll hold. This is my 2nd welding project ever. I’ll build the rear base this weekend. I made sure to leave access for my Big Gulps in the cup holders on the rear of the console. Ha!

Nice and it looks like you can cut a hole in the mattress and just roll over for a sip once you are done too!
I might just try this myself unless you want help making me one?
I am just down the road a bit.
Yeah, I already have the big seat out and a platform back there that I can slide a ladder under and storage on top.STL. Nice. There is so much room in a 100 with the seats out. I'm 6'-5" and can stretch completely out with 7-8" to spare to the tailgate when it's up.
@SuperLuke Love the simple look. What roof rack are you using and the tent?
I am planning to get a tent but not sure if I can use my oem rack.
Very happy to get my winch and plate installation underway on my @Kavik front bumper

The Kavik bumper is modeled after the TJM T-17 but the winch plate is a much better design IMO. The winch plate gets its support from all 4 sides something TJM did not do and is a nice feature. Brian did a great design and beefy construction with the mounting plate slightly above the frame rails, Nice!. The plate then rises to meet the bottom of the bumper making making the fit again very nice. The front holes where it bolts to the hawse fairlead is slotted giving adjustment for my future 10mm body lift, thanks Brian. The attention to detail is first class along with the ability to mount tons of winch options. I will be using an older Warn M8000i and its bolts in place with no other mods something I wish my slee 80 series bumper provided.

I did need to mod the center brace on my LX470 for clearance on my Warn M8000i something they may only be needed on some winches. But a few bends in a piece of aluminum and we have the needed clearance and a little bling.

Im using the same model Warn M8000i on my 80 series that I have had and used for the last 23 years. Rarely do I use or need a winch but when I do I want the confidence to know it will work so experience said another WARN M8000i for me. Mechanically and electrically the winch has been gone through some time ago. A little cleaning up and some paint and I look forward to many years of service. A new Dyneema synthetic rope and aluminum fairlead has been ordered along with some new power cables. I will continue to use the factory tie down brackets for recovery point.
