What mods do you regret on your 100 series?

I have an interesting contribution to this thread. I have a Prinsu rack (simple modular, light) that I love, and a Terrapod RTT (super light, great design, USA made) that I love also. But Prinsu + Terrapod mounted together is a nightmare due to the design of both accessories and it's proven almost impossible to add something as simple as an awning or Waterport. I've tried 5 different sets of brackets but nothing works really well.
Replacing one or both of these would be challenging.

I feel exactly the same way with my Victory4x4 roof rack. The cross bars sit way too low on the side rails and you HAVE to buy their own mounts to mount anything. I wanted the option to easily remove my awning and water supply off the rack when not in use, like the Ironman or prinsu quick detach, but they're just not compatible. How much money I've lost with the 20% restock fees...
I regret E rated tires for my 95% highway usage. This time around I use aftermarket wheels + SL rated tires and will slap on the Es+stock wheels when I to the trails

I echo those mentioning their aftermarket roof racks. The Gamviti expo rack i have is an awesome product, plus they are a great business to work with and support! The rack looks great (follows the roof lines) and I love the being able to grab the side bars when climbing up.
However, an expo rack is much heavier duty than what I need and adds more weight (higher center of gravity). Originally I had planned on putting my RTT on/off the vehicle however, but I have yet to do that since I hate how vehicles drive with RTTs mounted on top. Go figure
My roof rack has only been used for transporting surfboards and/or a yakima box. The factory rack OEM bars aren't quite wide enough for me but some fixed bars would have worked.
However, an expo rack is much heavier duty than what I need and adds more weight (higher center of gravity). Originally I had planned on putting my RTT on/off the vehicle however, but I have yet to do that since I hate how vehicles drive with RTTs mounted on top. Go figure

I went through a lot of the same process.
First 100 I bought a Trail Tailor expo rack that was heavy and way beefier than I needed for a tent.

I'll be putting the same on my next one. Aluminum, lightweight, strong. No complaints.
Oh these bars look nice! I will have to consider them if i decide to sell my expo rack.
yeah they're good. I opted to get a third bar to support a tent. I guess my only complaint is I wish they sat a bit closer to the roof.
Gotcha, that actually might be a selling point for my use. I removed my spoiler since surfboard overhang interfered with opening the hatch. But if i can adjust the rack bar/mounts to be low in the front and higher in the rear...Spoiler re-installed!

Can you move them forward and back in the channel or do they mount to the ABCD factory locations ?
The rails mount to the holes in the roof then the bars can slide forward and back in the rails
That’s awesome. Not sure any other rack on the market does that !

you running an RTT on you stock rack with extra cross bars?
I might have a replacement for you new in a box.
So I'm not totally sure what an RTT is. I stumbled across some extra stock cross bars. Now I have four instead of two.

Had a ton of buyers remorse with the ARB drawer system when I first got them but looking back they are so nice to have. I keep some basic recovery gear, straps for the motos, camping gear, dog stuff, and the fridge slide out is clutch. Install is tedious...(at least for me)
Regret the LT (E) tires but not enough to replace them as along with the HD OME suspension the ride is "firm". The Rhino Rack Platform is also
difficult to adapt to my Auto Home RTT, requiring cross bars to be fastened to the base of the tent and then the bars to the platform. This makes
it sit about an inch higher than if I just had cross bars.
