Washed the thing after our little road/wheeling trip...

Checked/reset the front bearing specs. Passenger side was REALLY loose. Hand tight loose. Drivers side seemed OK but was way under any 47fp torque for that lock nut. Outside bearings and grease all looked fine so I just added some grease, and stuffed it all back together with the Trail Gear nut locking thingie.

Torqued the bearing nut to 30.

Cone washers: they piss me off.

:bang:

Had some free time tonight so I got started on the EGR AND smog delete. Everything has been pretty smooth going so far EXCEPT how do I loosened the idler above the alternator (3FE) to remove the belt? It's been a while...

Out of curiosity, why did you get grey and not tan?

The weather tech ones I bought are black, and the Husky ones came with the truck when I bought it and are grey.

In general I prefer black, although tan wouldn't have been a bad idea. I was half asleep when I ordered them so that's part of it too.

Is there anything like this there? Because this looks cool....

yes, they have body prints in the permanent collection - whether they show them at any given time depends on the seasonal exhibits

tried to send you a PM, no worky - PM me your e-mail, and I'll e-mail it to you

Finished paint and reinstalled trim. All the trim was painted with Rust-o-leum Trim and Bumper paint from the Landcruiser section of Wal-Mart. It's funny, but my lovely bride was very reluctant in purchasing this Landcruiser, but the color change has her talking about expeditions in Europe and the Mediterranean. As you can see, she even finish detailed the paint around the trim.

did you use the leftover paint on the the inside of the garage ?

Spent the day troubleshooting a possible head gasket issue, thru a #6 misfire and horrible intermittent idle. Compression tested out @ 188psi average. Cleaned fuel pump relay contact, resistor connections, and replaced cap, rotor, plugs and cables. Runs like a champ, OEM quality far superior to the aftermarket Beldin wires I replaced, not even close in quality comparison.

I resealed my PS pump. I found one bad o-ring inside of the pump, I'm hoping that was the source of my leak.
Between all of the PS fluid everywhere and the penetrating fluid I sprayed on the pulley, it came off with no trouble at all!
A dental pick is a handy tool to remove o-rings with.

Finalized first version of armrest.

My lovely bride has a creative streak. If you think the inside of the garage is wild, you should see our bedroom.
Pictures or didn't happen :flipoff:
