Haven't seen those

Cool. How was that trail in an 80? I've been interested to run it but thought it might be too tight for an 80.

It was really tight. Body damage to be expected. I near rolled on one obstacle. Closest I've ever come. Small waterfall like thing coming up off the bottom of the wash. Sand in bottom so tire spin. Truck walked about 4-5' to the left on one bump making the drivers front fall off the upper ledge. Scary. It was kind of like double whammy.

The pickle it's self is literally the exact width of an 80. You need a couple guys to push and pull on the rack to keep it off the rocks.

I would not go in there if you value your sheet metal. If you've de-flared and can live with body contact then have at it. 35's and two lockers are min IMHO. 37s better.

The final obstacle coming out is steep but not all that bad. Really only one line. I tried to crawl it but basically would get half way and spin all four in place. I just hit it a little harder each time until I popped up and over.

We had two IFS blow CVs as a result of the trail. Both on 33's. One on the first obstacle so it DNF. I bent a LCA bouncing around somewhere. Did not notice it until post trail inspection. Another truck tore up a rear diff but he thinks it was a set up issue and not the trail.

Really it's best to leave that trail for the mini's and exocaged type guys.

We also ran Mashed Potatoes after it. That was kind of cool. Bunch of Slickrock obstacles on the white layer of rock. Marked with both a green and white stripe. Seemed like the green was the harder line. We all skipped the Gravy Boat. That was definitely for short wheelbase rigs. It was basically a mini bathtub like on Hells but close to the edge of the cliff upon exit. Definitely too small for an 80 to drop into.

The next day we tried to follow JaxTrax. MEH I will not return to that personally. Pretty uneventful but fun for a novice I suppose.

Did some MTN biking and hiking too. Great 5 day in the desert.

thanks for the detailed response. Sounds like maybe a trail for my Tacoma and not for the 80.

That is a much nicer solution than what I had in mind.

Went wheeling Saturday with some other locals to a place called Dillonwood Grove.
