My radiator was leaking from the plastic tank at the top, so I replaced it with an OEM using this amazing post: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/how-to-remove-the-radiator-1993-land-cruiser.698688/

Made the job a breeze. Thanks 93chewbacca!

I then tested the new radiator out on some Oregon trails

After 2 years, i finally replaced my broken antenna mast, that i'd originally replaced when i first got the cruiser using a cheap ebay version of the mast. in 10 days (maybe less) the entire white plastic line snapped off in the motor.

i used this write up: http://www.spokanister.net/vehicles_antenna.htm

wasn't nearly as bad as i'd imagined, just a little cumbersome. nice to be able to listen to the radio again.

I did the same. First time doing a Blackstone sample. I'm excited to see the results.

I had my radiator explode last summer and I just got it running right before Thanksgiving. I've been driving it and no issues, but there's that nagging feeling of wonder about "Is the head gasket still good?

Hopefully it will either confirm or deny.

Good luck on yours!

Glad to see you didn't die from dysentery...

He did have a fire in the wagon that resulted in the loss of one axle and 3lbs of food.

Straightened out my running board by wrapping my recovery strap around it and backing over the strap.

Lol, I can't believe this worked.

Those are such great pictures of a great looking truck that I added them to my wallpaper!

Cheers.... It's a nice HDJ81. They just don't make trucks like this anymore and I kinda want to keep it in good shape. I'm the third owner and the two PO's took special care of it. A pink panty legacy I guess.

Just washed the under carriage & checked the fluids... Then started on getting some tools/recovery gear/emergency supplies together for the rig.

Then I took the dogs - all four of them & my daughter for a short trip to my mother's house across town. What a revelation... we haven't had a rig roomy enough for that in a long time...

Love my LED reverse lights, one of my must do mods on all our vehicles.

Tackled the factory roof rack today. Happy to find very minimal rust and didn't spin any nutserts, bomb squad like precision paid off. Drilled out the nutserts and fished the front ones out, left the rears. Sanded down to bare, rust free metal and filled the holes with jb weld putty (steel stick?). Used the iron as heat gun trick to get the double stick tape up. Sanding and painting is next weekends task.
