We had our first melting of the year. 50 degrees today so I decided to take my smashed up bumper off and see if I could hammer it out.

Picked up the wife's Shark vac and my new grill. Kids love the Beast!

Changed my transmission fluid, replaced the zerks on my driveshafts and lubed them, then went wheeling in snow and mud to get to a rock climbing area. Greasing the driveshafts got rid of a very noticeable amount of vibration, awesome!

Drained and refilled the diffs and transfer case on my new-to-me 94 FZJ80. That was some nasty stuff in there, and thank goodness for the magnets in the drain bolts. The funny part was thrashing under the truck for a good position for pumping in the new gear oil, and accidentally dipping my foot into the pan of old nasty oil (probably shoulda moved it...). Thank goodness for cat litter...messy job.

I changed the oil and did the front diff. MESS. I do not have a good way to refill the pumpkin, it took so long I couldn't do the t-case or the rear diff. What are the veteran 80 guys doing that I don't know about?

5 gallon bucket with a pump and hose

Not a vet but where I am (Tucson AZ USA), Autozone has a $7 hand pump kit that screws in to either a quart or gallon jug. Flexible tubing carries the oil up and into the diff. I did mine without jacking up the truck--granted I'm not a real big dude.

Haha what Scottryama said--that's the kit I used.
