Since I have been back in the states, I have been wanting to get another 80. Being back in the US for a year now, my newborn daughter brought me a 96 LX450, (got it the same day she was born). So I wanted to document the evolution of my 80. I love looking at other peoples build threads, so here is mine.

Here is my Prado Evolved from Colombia!!

BUY THIS MAN A

Probably one of the best 80's I've seen, the wheels make the 80 look different from the normal set up (35's on stock wheels). How is the ride with the 4 inch lift?

What made u choose the 17x9 Mickey Thompson over the 16x8, just curious I am looking into the 16x8's

Thanks for the compliments!!

The ride is nice. I have the heavy setup so its very stiff. Waiting on when I start adding all the weight from the winch, rear storage, rear bumper, etc. . But I love the look.

I wanted a rim that looked bigger, but didnt want to go to an 18" wheel, and this wheel just doesnt look as big in a 16". But they sure compliment the look of the rig. I am sure they will look nice on your rig no matter what size you get it in.

What did that leather kit run you? Might be looking to change out my front section as well.

ATLASX1 - here on mud sells them PM him, he has great deals for MUD members,

Looking really good. I like the stock wheels, but those MT look awesome on your black cruiser!

you want to sell your old rims and tires? im in Brooklyn Ny

Entre tuu 95 y esta 80 demuestras que tienes buen gusto compadre, estan muy parecidas!

Miami Beach right?? I was there a couple of weeks ago!

Since I sold my Prado i'm not sure what to get, I'm getting a good deal on a 3 door 90 series and ive also been looking at 80s but here in Vzla they're WAY too expensive. Im jealous!

looks great. What extent did you go into for the 4"lift? Did you get any drive line whine from the front?

Thanks Lugueto, I am looking to go the same route that I did with the Prado. If I could do it over again, I would either get an 80 or a 70 series. I have many friends with the 90 series and it performs very well in the mud and off roading.

So far I have only changed the front driveshaft to the DC one. I am going to order the extended brake lines, F & R panhard rods (thinking of going with TJM) and the spacers for the bumpstops and sway bars. I am also contemplating getting the Rear adjustable upper control arms from Slee. But havent gotten that far yet.

Very nice rig! A Lexus without factory running boards?

I like the wheels...they give it a classy, more modern look.

Did you use spacers with those wheels? Any tire clearance issues?
